Owner description: The Heritage Exhibition and Viewing Tower is based around the harbour and seaside history of Littlehampton and the surrounding area, the Heritage Exhibition has interactive displays, historical artefacts and fascinating pieces of information to inform and amuse both adults and children. Do you know what ships were wrecked off the Sussex coast; why a customs house was built in Littlehampton in 1864; when the town first started to receive day trippers; what birds wheel above the river and float on its waters? Come to our exhibition and find out the answers to these and many other questions. As for our viewing tower, it has some of the best views in Sussex. It is said you can see the spire of Chichester Cathedral from the Upper Tower using the binoculars provided. Why not come and find out? Or bring your camera and step out onto the Lower Tower balcony to take amazing pictures of the River Arun that you would never get at ground level.

A group of 10 of us had lunch last Sat. The weather was glorious so we sat outside and soaked up the sun and a good couple of bottles of wine with our lunch.
Could not see why so many people wanted to sit inside on a such a lovely day, but was grateful they did as we found a table outside straight away.
Excellent value for money and great food too!
Staff were friendly and helpful too.

Would definitely recommend and return!

Brilliant atmosphere, great menu choices, great staff and a reasonable cost. Relaxing environment too and brilliant views of the River Arun.

Visited several times during the summer months and enjoyed every visit, Very popular so can be very busy but we always found a table available both inside and outside the restaurant. You have to order food and drinks at the counter but then it is waitress service. Good varied menu at reasonable prices. Staff there have always been friendly and efficient and quality of food is very good with large portions of everything. Outside seating area is situated adjacent to the harbour so great to watch boats passing by but on a sunny day it can get very hot out there as no shade from the sun so be aware.
Not been to the visitor centre but have been up to the viewing platform on the top floor, there is a lift to take you up there, great views of the harbour and surrounding area, we always go up there and have never paid to do so, not sure if you are supposed to pay.

Ideal for families with primary age children or those interested in the area or view...At only £2 for an adult and £1 for kids this is an ideal Pre or post lunch stop, esp when combined with a visit to the lifeboat station. We spent 1.5hrs (mostly on our own!) exploring the 3 small floors of interactive exhibition about the area, the local legends and then more generally about the sea and the shore. However, the big win is the comfy story space and amazing view from the top of the tower. Finished off with lunch in the reasonably priced cafe below, which catered well for kids, with nice facilities.... This was a real hidden gem!

Over looking the River Arun and out to sea whilst eating a lovely lunchtime meal with my wife on a sunny winters day provided an excellent experience. The food was very good and reasonably priced, not the cheapest in the area but in this life you get what you pay for in this life. The service was very good too.
