Spotless, and a very comfortable room. Loved the breakfast, especially the scrambled eggs. Would happily recommend to anyone. A lovely stay. Thanks Fiona.

We had a joyous stay with Nigel and Fiona at their bed and breakfast. The room was simply divine, full of trinkets and treasures. The bed was sublimely comfortable and the breakfast was both hearty and nourishing. Top marks, top experience and tip top people.

The beach really is 3 minutes away, great for those hot, lazy summer days. Unfortunately for us it was April, so a little windy. We spent our time eating chips from the famous 'Freds' fish and chip shop. It's always really busy but well worth the wait.

We were greeted by Fiona on arrival and shown to our rooms. The place is clean and welcoming and about a 15 minute walk to the High Street and 10 minute walk to the beach. The cooked breakfast was tasty and there was plenty to eat along with fresh fruit salad and cereals.

On a weekend away to visit family, we decided to stay at "The Selborne House B&B" mainly due to the reviews on Trip Advisor.
The accommodation was fantastic, and not just the room. The whole package was good for start to finish (tidy room, comfy bed, crisp sheets, clean towels ect ect) The owner couldn't be more helpful making sure we had everything we needed and ofcourse offering a fab breakfast too.
Am really glad we didn't stay somewhere further down the road in Bognor Regis (as they say.... "bugger bognor") or we would have missed out on this little gem of a place.

After receiving a friendly greeting from the owner, I was first impressed when shown to my room. The quality of the fittings and layout of the room, were of a far higher standard than I was expecting for £27.50! There was a quality oak sideboard, plenty of space to move around, a very comfortable bed, plus a hairdryer, clock radio/alarm and sizeable wardrobe. The room definitely had a lady's touch with a teddy bear on the bed, a laced cloth on the sideboard, and heart shaped trinket boxes on top. The Selborne was very clean, had quality fittings throughout, and was very pleasing on the eye.
As for the breakfast, I could not ask for more. Whereas most B and B's offer cereal and a juice to start, I was also offered a fruit salad and yoghurt as well as the cereal and juice. The fruit salad was definitely made from fresh ingredients, generous in portion, and a joy to eat. The full English that followed was substantial in size, well cooked and used quality ingredients.
The interests of the guests were definitely put first at this establishment, and it well deserved the business.

It is hard to find comfortable affordable B+Bs in Britain. They usually have dripping shower heads, sloppy tinned tomatoes with the breakfast, uncomfortable beds, blah blah blah...But the selborne house B+B was a surprise and a break from the norm. A small B+B with only 3 rooms - one en suite, and two with a separate bathroom with proper bath and shower. all clean, comfy, and smart.
The price included a fantastic breakfast. a selection of fresh fruit, fruit salad, cereals and other such healthy things was followed by a generous and well put together fry up. thickly sliced bacon, good quality sausage, whole fried mushrooms, plenty of toast, fried egg, baked beans, fried fresh tomato, and helpings of very tasty jam, marmalade, and honey. tea and coffee, and orange juice, of course.

The bedroom we had was bright and lovely. have a look at the pictures! slightly twee decoration i suppose but with a touch of class. The shower room was clean and new looking with shower cubicle, toilet and sink. It must be said that the shower cubicle was a little small but the water pressure was good and steady. Crisp white towels provided. And I'm sure had we requested use of the separate bath the owners would have agreed.

Parking outside was free and easy. It was within easy walking distance to the sea and plenty of cafes, restaurants, and pubs and the centre of town.

We loved it!
