Even before checking in we were made to feel incredibly welcome - small touches such as a little email letting us know that we could get in touch if we needed anything made a huge difference.

The house itself is well set back from the main roads, tucked away in lovely woodland with a spectacular view over the Sussex Downs. The room was vast with a superbly comfortable bed and fanastic linen.

We were offered a range of choices for breakfast with both of us plumping for the full english - the produce was fantastic and all expertly and lovingly cooked.

Throughout the stay we were made to feel so very welcome. It's just a shame you're fully booked for Goodwood!

The next time we're staying in the area I doubt we'd look anywhere else.

We felt incredibly welcome from the moment of arrival with help for directions and where to eat. The area around the house is beautiful and the views from our room were amazing. The breakfast was also delicious preparing us for the day ahead. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommened staying there.

Very pleasant 1 night stay in summer. When Peter discovered that my wife and I did not have swimming trunks to take advantage of the weather to use the pool he arranged loaners for us; have never experienced that level of generosity anywhere I have stayed before. Our room was fairly private (separate stairs leading to the entrance) and very nicely done. Breakfast was tasty with a number of different options to choose from. Very welcoming bnb with lovely hosts.

Idyllic setting snuggled in a wooded area with breathtaking views of the Sussex Downs.Quirky Edwardian house with wonderful extensive grounds.
Warm friendly welcome from the owner and his wife.Nothing is too much trouble.
Rooms well appointed.Breakfast choice embarrassingly generous and diverse.
Stayed with friends over the weekend to attend a wedding nearby. Our host had organised the taxi to our venue. He had also advised a perfect venue for dinner the night before at " The Swan PH" in Fittleworth.
We had a memorable pleasant weekend. It would be an ideal base to explore Petworth and Chichester.

The house is very nice located on a hill with an excellent view and a big garden. Pete welcomed us very warmly and gave us very helpful advice and a lift concerning our dinner. We enjoyed the garden, swimming pool, tabletennis and a big trampoline.
The rooms were perfect and the breakfast excellent.
We will come back if we visit the area again.

Found on the incomparable Sawday, we booked all Peter’s rooms for the family for our son’s wedding nearby. A beautiful house in a wonderful, utterly peaceful, setting in this lovely part of England.
The welcome is warm and (all too rarely) utterly genuine. The rooms are perfect and quirky, with fabulously comfy beds. The first morning we ‘surfaced’ to the sound of car on gravel as Peter headed off to a local farm to pick up our breakfast eggs. Go for the scrambled!
In our party were two 90 year old grandmothers who left the reception early by taxi in the heaviest of June rain storms. They arrived in the midst of a power cut (and a burst water pipe – but that’s another story) to find the house ablaze with candles. Peter and Monique were the perfect hosts and looked after them to perfection. Even my mother was impressed!
If it’s summer when you visit, leave the windows open, and your morning alarm will most likely be of the furry, purring variety climbing in off the roof.
Forget the plastic hotels, revel in a magnificent example of the great British B&B!

We visited on a hot evening in May with close friends who had checked in their bags earlier in the day. Before we arrived our friends told us that we were in for a treat. Sure enough we turned up after a local wedding to a warm welcome from Peter our host. We had a very comfortable and generously sized room with an en suite bathroom.
The following morning we ate a delicious breakfast of Kedgeree washed down with the best coffee i have tasted in a B+B in this country. Whats more Peter allowed us to spend the morning diving in and out of his family swimming pool. Our friends enjoyed the beautiful and quiet countryside surrounding this lovely house. I will visit again and highly recommend it.
