Owner description: A beautiful vineyard and winery in the South Downs National Park, West Sussex. We make still white, rosé and sparkling wines. We have special tours of the vineyard and winery given by the winemaker followed by a wine tasting in the winery, a Grade II listed Victorian barn, housing state of the art wine production equipment.

I had no idea how much was involved in wine making. The tour was really interesting and the views are wonderful. Simon imparted his knowledge with enthusiasm and though, in the past I have only been interested in drinking it, I was amazed at the technical and engineering side of the business. The wines taste good too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

None of your coach parties here - this is a small vineyard with great personal tours and an in-depth explanation of the whole process from vine to bottle. We have visited large vineyards in Spain before and whilst they are impressive, we learned a lot more here and tasted some delicious wines - highly recommended and a great gift idea for any wine lover.

Small, one and a half man band started this vineyard in 2007, for love of the grape and the chance to make great English wine. A truly beautiful setting, the tour is run by the man himself and includes an explanation of the growing conditions, a look at the vines and the the journey continues onto the Victorian renovated barn to learn how the grapes go from vine to glass. On a day like today I really thought I was in France and not Sussex. A gorgeous experience and a chance to share one man's passion and taste and buy the product. Go now before everyone finds out about it and the coach tours starts.

Visiited the vineyard after tasting some of the excellent wine while at a resturant. Tour was personal in depth and gave us both a better understanding of how it's produced. We bought 12 bottles and keep recommending it to all our friends

We could not have hoped for better weather considering we seem to have missed spring. The vineyard is set in an enchanting part of the country and the view is simply amazing. We had a tour with Simon and from the first minute it was quite evident the passion he feels for the vines and for the Stopham project. He took us through an incredible journey from how the land is prepared, the planting, the growing and the production of the wine....which of course we HAD to taste and were so impressed with the quality that ended up buying 3 bottles each! (will not be the last ones, either) We not only learned about the process from vine to wine but also about the Stopham story which is quite an interesting one and makes you understand the philosophy of excellence behind the vineyard. It was quite simply an incredible and inspiring afternoon that we certainly recommend to any wine lover.
