“Lovely Place to Stay”
Reviewed 9 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Elderflower is such a sweet place to stay - I travelled with my 14 year old daughter and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away, in such pleasant surroundings!
It was lovely to have our own patio area and made use of the BBQ provided. Inside the shepherds hut it is cosy, without being too small, and everything is decorated beautifully.
I would definitely recommend it.

“Time to Relax”
Reviewed 31 October 2013 for a stay in July 2013

I stayed here with my husband for my fortieth Birthday weekend in July. The purpose was to visit Brighton , I am so glad we didn't book Brighton and chose the Elderflower instead as it was the perfect tonic after a busy time in Brighton.
Clean cosy and private and all brand new.
The owners were friendly and recommended a visit to Bosham which was a beautiful harbour village, as was Arundel.
I would return here and spend more time exploring the South Downs and not bother with Brighton.
Fabulous

“Lovely little getaway”
Reviewed 23 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

I took my boyfriend here for two nights to celebrate his birthday. We loved lighting the woodburner and watching DVD's when it was cold and windy outside... very snug and cosy!
The hut had brilliant facilities and is stunning throughout. It is also perfectly situated, close to good pubs and places to visit (we popped to Arundel and Worthing which were no more than 20 minutes away).
Even though we didnt meet Sue and Tim I'd like to say what a brilliant little getaway you have created and we're looking forward to coming back in the future... assuming you're not too booked up! Thank you.

“The perfect recipe for relaxation”
Reviewed 22 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

The weather on our September visit was rather wet and windy, but "Elderflower" offered the perfect location for autumn relaxation, especially with the wood burner warming an already welcoming and beautifully appointed Shepherd's Hut.
Sue and Tim, the very friendly owners, had provided foolproof instructions on how to light the wood burner in their folder of Visitor Information, and they were always on hand to answer any queries. Excellent use had been made of the inside space, and there was good storage space and modern crockery and kitchen equipment.
Elderflower is set in it's own garden, tucked away behind the owner's property, with very secure parking, and very peaceful Shetland ponies as neighbours. In better weather we would have certainly made more use of the excellent garden furniture and the barbecue.
We would highly recommend, and since this was quite a local break for us, we are likely to return.

Liked best: The cosy and well equipped quirkiness of the Shepherds Hut
Liked least: The lack of pavement meant it was not possible to access the countryside without first traveling out by car

“sweet little hideaway”
Reviewed 24 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

lovely little shepherds hut all shiny and new, very authentic but modern. Great enclosed garden good for dogs, weather terrible but hut nice and cosy. BBQ in garden works well with gas ring too. Beautiful view to wake up to across paddocks with ponies. Wood burning stove was welcome even though its June, Fridge and small oven with two electric rings in barn, together with a supply of logs. Sue and Tim were extremely hospitable when you needed them, and respected my privacy when I wanted to enjoy Elderflower on my own, a perfect combination
