“Beautiful sandy beach”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Loved this beach. Took our little son with us and he had a great time. The beach is very clean, the sand very soft. The only problem we had was that beach brolly kept blowing away!! On inspection of those around us, we will probably bring a tent or wind breaker nex time!! A must visit for any beach lover. The only clincher is the parking cost which is £6.50 for the day.

“Stunning beach! Thought we were abroad!”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

West Wittering Beach being only 20mins away from our Haven park we knew we had to try it out, after seeing it was also a blue flag beach also. We were all extremely happy, on arrival the waiting time to get our ticket was quick (We arrived 11:45am on a Wednesday) it cost us £6.50. From my understanding a slightly reduced rate from the weekend. The car park was a huge grass area, and well looked after it was fairly busy but once getting down on to the beach you really couldn't tell.

The beach itself was the soft sand, no hard pebbles no dirty or anything. It was just like being abroad! The sand was also great for making sand castles, one of our kids favorite things. The sea was also clean, and very warm when we first got it (Not the stone cold i'd always had before in this country) It was great for the kids as it didn't dip sharply. We seen plenty of life guards around they were always patrolling.

Also toilets and showering area both again very clean and tidy. Is a beach goods shop for bucket and spade, balls, mats, bbq, other small beach items. Is a cafe which sells a range of hot and cold food and ice cream section.
We had burger and chips/hot dog and chips/sandwich which were all very nice and fairly priced.

All in all this place was excellent and more than worth the £6.50 to park.

“always great!”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

I love West Wittering Beach, I've been going there since I were a wee nipper! Its £8 per car, and some would say thats a bit pricey, but when you pay anything up to £1.50 in town centre car parks, I don't think that's too bad for a days parking. The car park is grass so you can sit by the car to eat if you don't want sand in anything. or fly a kite etc

The sand is clean, soft and great, there are dog sections at either end of the beach, and you can rent/buy body boards, kayaks, etc. There is a cafe on site, along with an ice cream and beach goods shops.

The beach is shallow and goes out ant a smal incline which means its great for kids, When the tide goes out it goes about 200 yards, but leaves little pools everywhere so you don't have to go all the way if you want a paddle. there is even a crabbing section at the far end, and I heard there were seals in the harbour.

I'll be going there for years to come. In my opinion its the best beach in the country.

“A very nice beach”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

We timed it wrong as when we went the tide was coming in and not out.
But this didn`t bother our children as there was still some sand for them to play in, they also enjoyed a little paddle.
The tide comes in very quickly.
