Our stay at Casa Pericos was amazing. From the moment you open the door and see the beautiful accomadations, then walk over to the balcony to check out the view, it is all very breathtaking. We stayed in Vista Romantica which is perfectly named. It is very comfortable for 2 or 4 guests and puts you "in the mood" for wonderful activities in and out of the casa.
The owner (Shane) and concierge (Carolyn) were both very helpful to make our stay and arrangements easy and carefree. The fridge was stocked with the items we asked for upon arrival and Carolyn made reservations for boating excursions that were second to none. The sun rising up over the mountains in the morning and setting over the ocean in the evening is postcard perfect. The location on the point is gorgeous as you can see all the way to Puerto Vallarta.
This was the best vacation accomadations and time that we have ever spent. We can't wait to get back and share another week in Yelapa at Casa Pericos.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay in the beautiful penthouse in Casa Pericos for a week. The 3 unit palapa blends right into the mountainside of Yelapa and has breathtaking views of the bay and ocean. Everything was taken into consideration that we could possibly need; a well stocked kitchen, wireless internet, hammocks, comfortable beds, a bbq grill and a hot tub which was great after our long hikes. The collection of artwork/artifacts and Balinese style furnishings are fantastic, it was such a treat to be surrounded by it in the house. We couldn't have asked for anything more, it definitely exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it!

It’s perfectly located; we found the best snorkeling was right outside our front door where we saw many different species of fish and sting rays.. They also have kayaks which was a great way to go around the bay and enjoy all the wonderful views. We got a great workout walking everywhere as there are no cars in Yelapa, thank goodness! It’s a few steps to Playa Isabel and a short walk to the town and the main playa. We had the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, lounging on the beach, savoring all the fresh fish, ceviche and other local cuisine along with the all the swimming, hiking and a must-do excursion to Marieta Islands where we were lucky enough to see whales and swim in the hidden beaches.

We felt like we got to experience the real Yelapa thanks to our beautiful host Carolina. She’s a wealth of knowledge in recommending places/sites to visit and restaurants to try, she even arranges excursions and spa services such as massages. Make sure to ask about her yoga classes on the beach! Conejo & Thelma were also a great help.

We only wish that we could have stayed longer. The local people we met made it that much more special. It’s really a gem, we will be back for sure!

My stay in April 2013 at Casa Pericos in Yelapa far exceeded my espectations. The property was very clean, luxurious (gorgeous hot tub!) and comfortable. The staff was friendly and responsive to my needs. I stayed in the Penthouse, which had everything we needed and more to make our stay in Yelapa exceptional. I will definitely return! It was close enough to the Village to be convenient, but far enough away to be secluded and quiet! Perfect location!

My husband and I stayed at Casa Pericos last week and we are already making plans to return! The pelapa was everything I imagined and more... beautiful, perfectly located, luxurious while still being all open air! We woke up to the waves, watched the sun set and received massages right in our suite. We stayed in the Romantica suite and loved it. All the touches and decorations were so beautiful and wonderful quality. Carolyn and Naomi were great to work with and very helpful and it was so nice to have all the fresh yummy local food delivered to our kitchen ahead of time.

Other pros: the best snorkeling is located right out front! World class. The walk to the village is beautiful and manageable, the beach where the water taxi dropped us off is two doors down and the pelapa is located where it catches a nice breeze.

I agree with the others about the sound of the waves at night. It is pretty loud and I wore earplugs. But that is because the villa is located right on the water. Can't beat that!

We felt very safe, cared for and relaxed the whole trip there and will be back!

Room Tip: The Romantica Suite is gorgeous and just right for a couple or small family and nicer than the lower...

Casa Pericos is a dream come true.

My parents, sister, her boyfriend, my boyfriend and I took a week off to explore Yelapa for the Christmas holiday. This is my boyfriend's and my first vacation in a very long time and our first trip out of the US together. Casa Pericos was the perfect choice!

The Water Taxi dropped us off at Playa Isabel where we were greeted by Carolina and Canejo. Before our feet even touched the sand, Carolina was offering guidance on how to safely get out of boat while Canejo was working with the Water Taxi staff to bring our luggage onto dry land. We live in the Bay Area and love taking public transportation, and the Water Taxi was such a great experience!

We were advised to watch our step along the pathway up to the house and if you want to look at something, stop and look! Great advice and such a simple reminder that it's OK to slow down , we're in Yelapa!

Casa Pericos itself is tucked into the shoreline right up against the mountains. From the bay it looks amazing, from the front gates it looks incredible, and once you are inside it is absolutely breathtaking. Each floor is impeccably decorated, blending traditional Balinese and Mexican style with modern accommodations. The view is stunning! A panoramic view of the bay, with Puerto Vallarta in the distance makes it that much easier to melt into relaxation.

After ooh'ing and aah'ing, Carolina gave us a tour of the top two floors we would be living in for the next week! We were familiarized with light switches, kitchen accessories, games, iPod docks, wireless internet, telephone, kayak and snorkel gear, etc. They have a binder full of information about Yelapa - its restaurants, hikes, waterfalls, where to cross the river, how to get to the beach, etc. As we were being shown the house, we also got incredible information about the region and some insight to the creation of Casa Pericos.

Our time in Yelapa was so wonderful, I can't say enough good things about it and Casa Pericos. Our days were spent kayaking, exploring, swimming, eating, and getting to know the friendly and warm community. When we soaked up enough sunshine, we would come home to our beautiful suites at Casa Pericos to cook, read, play dominoes, watch the moon rise over the bay, and eventually tuck ourselves into our spacious, comfortable beds to recharge for another exciting day!

I just returned from a week in Yelapa and Casa Pericos. This was our second time staying at Casa Pericos. The property is beautiful, pristine, and very well maintained. The little bay right in front is the best for snorkeling and a sweet little beach is just down the path. Relaxing, blissful, quiet. The puebla is a short walk. I loved not having to get in a car! Most days it took me longer to get to town as there are so many butterflies to see, flowers to smell, whales to watch for. The people are so kind and generous. We ate way too much wonderful food. Our room was on the first floor. A huge open space with two beds, comfy chairs to curl up in, screens for privacy. Very well equipped. There were always plenty of fresh dry towels. Our swimming suits dried in the breeze. We made our bed everyday so our sheets didn't feel damp. And I'm sure they would have been changed if we asked, but there was no need. Is Yelapa for everyone? Well no. But a little research goes a long way. Casa Pericos is a gem.
