“Feeling the Serenity ....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2013

We have just spent two nights in one of the cabins. It is a very peaceful environment and close to bush walks. It is Eco-friendly but the cabins could do with some TLC. The fire is lovely and cosy and the cabins are comfortable and reasonably spacious but not worth what was charged. There is no storage or hanging space so one has to live out of a suitcase. The curtains are flimsy and hence outside lighting creeps in as does the early morning light. Also, there are quirky rules which if not followed can incur extra charges on credit cards if not followed - not a pleasant surprise to find after you get home! A car is a must as the cooking facilities are basic and the nearest eateries are several minutes-drive away. One visit was enough.

Jemby Rinjah is one of the first sustainable working Tourism Developments in Australia & we pride ourselves in our Eco friendly approach to all matters concerned with our complex. Our cabins are cosy with slow combustion fireplaces, light filled , which is not the way of Jemby.have fold out luggage holders and also hanging space in the main bedroom and a cupboard for hanging and folded clothes in the second room. The curtains are light in colour as to help encourage the sunshine in to help maintain warmth in the cabins.
Rules and policy's are stated on your Reservation slip that you sign upon check in, as in all Accommodation establishments, as do our compendiums.
It was not a surprise as you were not charged. I assure you it is not a pleasant surprise for staff either when a couple use five beds and are charged only as a double, which has not covered your double room rate.
Jemby is located in the heart of the National Park, surrounded by natural unspoilt bushland and most guests know this before they make a booking with us. Local shopping is only a five minute drive which we feel is not to far out of the way for our guests.
Jemby can supply a selection of baskets for guests to purchase to save such drive to the local shops.

We stayed here over Anzac Day and nice to see the place is still the same as it was 109 years ago. Still very natural and the cabins have aged well. Lovely rustic getaway with wood fire and comfy beds. I was disappointed they put the price up for the holiday then closed the office so no Wi-Fi available. They also posted notices that it was a total fire ban so you couldn't use the outdoor fire pit and toast marshmallows which is part of the ambience of this place. Pity no-one told the NSW fire service about the fire ban. We stayed in a treetops units which was a good size for 2 and had everything you need. Unfortunately they haven't vacuumed behind the bed for a long time as the dust was piled up. It's still the greatest place for bird watching with king parrots and crimson rosellas hand fed. We also saw a lyre doing it's mating dance in the bush behind the cabins. A very rare site.

Spent 2 nights with 2 11 year olds at a 2 bedroom eco cabin.
the location was brilliant, walking distance to Evans Lookout and start of many bushwalks.
Cabins are set in fantastic bush settings with all mod cons.
kids had the bedroom with 2 bunk beds and other room had large uber comfortable double bed,
loved the combustion stove all set up, just needed to light the match.
Was expecting cold nights but the stove kept the place warm all night.
we got a breakfast basket on arrive and bottle of wine which we loved.
Bird feeding certain days of the week at 8.30am was a highlight , stunning birdlife and the kids adored this. They made their way back to the reception the following day and were given individual bags of seeds which delighted them.
Only shame is we only went for 2 nights, could have stayed a lot longer and hope to get back there to soak up more peace and deep uninterrupted nights sleep. loved it1

Very eco friendly, close to bush walks, went with my partner but will be excellent for family gateway. Eco lodge sleeps 5, comfortably, clean and tidy. Dining facilities only starting in May, so did not get a chance to sit in dining area for long to experience the warm fireplace.

I just returned from 2 nights here with my family conisting of 2 adults and 3 children aged 2,4 and 6. We were in a 2 Bedroom cabin. It was absolutely brilliant. We bought one of those great value deals on Groupon and were worried what we would get as it was so cheap - $249 for 2 bedrooms for the 2 nights including breakfast. Well it was heaven. Bird feeding (kids adored), log fire in living room (kept the cabin so incredibly warm), BBQs to use in a bush setting, a beautiful lookout about a 10 min walk down the road (perfect for toddlers as they felt they had a bushwalk but it wasn't too far). When we arrived we were given our enormous box of supplies for our inclusive breakfast - muesli, greek yoghurt, 4 types of bread, butter, jam, juices for the kids. and wait for it - a free bottle of red wine for Mum and Dad! Then as the lovely host knew we were putting my youngest down for a sleep, she offered free kids videos to my older children to keep them quiet in the cabin - what a lovely touch. The lodge was totally eco friendly - a big plus for us. Literally cannot fault this place. A perfect family getaway.

Room Tip: We were in cabin 7 and it was perfect - 2 bedrooms for families

We stayed 2 nights in April and thoroughly enjoyed it. A beatiful tranquil setting, clean crisp mountain air and a very effective wood stove to warm us in the evening. We were impressed with all the little extras - even the wood fire had been prepared. The reception, restaurant and lounge area is very inviting too. The outdoor BBQ area is nice too - the BBQ willl cook everything in no time - its very hot! All in all, a great place to relax with the kids.

We enjoyed a lovely weekend here at the end of March. We stayed in one of the lodges with another family. It was perfect as there were separate family bedrooms and then a communal lounge area. We were lucky as we had the place to ourselves. The setting is beautiful and the children loved feeding the birds. A very relaxing and affordable place to stay.
