We have been going to this place since 1988. It's true that we tend to order the same things - Mongolian Lamb, Chicken Chow Mein, Sate Combination, Bombe Alaska but it is always yum so why not? Owners are friendly and always make us feel very welcome.

When Aussies are at the reception desk you know that it is likely to be terrible. Should have gone with our gut instinct. When we walked in it smelled like the chef had been smoking out the back. We ordered short soup which was inedible. The wontons were hard and felt like we were eating squash balls. The only salvageable thing from the short soup was the wonton around the meatball. Next dish was chicken chop suey. Apparently this means chicken with vegetables. What we got was more like chicken with onion with a gooey sauce. The boiled rice tasted as it should. We weren't happy to pay the $2.50 surcharge for public holiday per person. Also I was charged a 50c fee for paying by EFTPOS. We were not asked once whether we were enjoying our meal. We think they know the answer. This place is awful.

Arrived too late for the fabulous take away on Sydney Rd next to fire station, so was stuck with Ho's or not much else. Ho was very friendly, largely because he saw a "tourist trapped"!!!!

We paid about $70 for three dishes, a fried rice and 4 cokes!!!!!

The meals were tiny. I mean FFS rice costs next to nothing - why not give a decent serving. The other dishes were just so bub par.

Friendly to the end, and charging 60 cents to use eftpos FFS. We are not stupid HO we know eftpos is meant to be free.

So would I go there ever again - let's just say when we pass there now my kids yell out - Hey look Dad, Mum - Skanky Ho's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New to the area and advised to avoid the place (see above comments) needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. Loved the old Chinese restaurant decor and found the food very tasty and inexpensive. Have now been 3 times.

I almost cannot express how truly, absolutely, pukingly disgusting the "food" that we paid our hard earned money to not be able to eat was! In my 50 years I have eaten Chinese food ranging from the local Wok this Way to an Imperial level banquet and this was not Chinese food! IT WASN'T EVEN FOOD!
The rainbow beef, if it was really beef, more closely resembled road kill than anything like what this dish should be. The chicken and vegetables - well not sure where either the chicken or the vegetables were!
Dim Sims and spring rolls from Woolworths taste better raw than the undercooked garbage that we were sold!
The chinese vegetables were mainly orange coloured tofu and a tin of chinese vegies! Nothing fresh in sight!!
The Combination omellette was full of fatty off cuts and other bits of what might have been meat at some stage, but not when we got it!
Every dish tasted EXACTLY the same! I can only surmise that this was because it was literlly covered and swimming in OIL!!!! Two to three milimetres of it was on top of each dish!!!!For a type 2 diabetic this made the entire thing a nightmare and a very hungry night!
To make it worse, we had taken this away and travelled far enough away that we couldn't take it back for a refund!
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
