We prebooked our tour as from previous experience it gets very busy and numbers are limited. We arrived early and had a beautiful buffet breakfast in Caves House for only $20.00. We had a lovely young lady as our tour guide and she was great. Numbers for this tour are capped at 25. The tour is marked as strenuous and as a 53 year old, not overly fit person I was a little concerned, but it was okay and you have rest breaks along the way. There are some almost vertical, old steel ladders to climb so good footwear is essential. As it was a busy day our tour actually came out through The Temple of Baal Cave which was an added bonus. We have done the Orient Cave previously and the Orient is 'prettier' and with a lot more sparkly crystals, but the River Cave is totally different and impressive in other ways and you still get to see some beautiful formations. I would suggest getting there early in the morning. When we left just after 12 the bottom carparks near the caves were full and people where in the higher up carparks which were also full.

We jumped on a tour of the caves with Charles and he was most informative. The group was a good size and access was easy. The history lesson we received was wonderful and the caves themselves magnificent. Well worth the visit.

This place has not changed since i went there as a teenager.

The caves are still some of the best in the world. the tour guides are funny knowledgeable and helpful.

The best tip I can give is BOOK ONLINE a few days before you go this way you will get the tour you want.

This was my second visit to the caves and they haven't changed. The tour guides did a great job in communicating the history and the natural wonder speaks for itself.
