“Excellent pub food”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

Great food.....but if you're looking for a place to sleep.......drive, or in my case, ride on...just keep going. Banging doors, loud swearing locals into the wee hours, below average shared toilet and showers.

“Cudgegong Cruisers Car Club.”
Reviewed 26 August 2013

Our car club had a cruise on Sunday 25th August from Mudgee to The Globe for lunch. We where meet by friendly staff who had reserved a very good area for our group. We all enjoyed an excellent meal and while we all placed orders at different times the meals came out with in a good time. The kids loved the garden to play in and the kids meal were great value. I am sure we will make another cruise down your way again. It is well worth a stop in by all.

“Giving it their best shot”
Reviewed 18 August 2013

Okay, it's not ready for a Michelin Star, but I found the food offering wholesome and with a genuine effort at offering something beside the typical meat-and-three-veg seen at so many pubs. We had tasty leatherjacket and lamb rump roast on a cold winter Sunday. Yes, have to agree it was a bit tricky finding a warm part of the dining room, even inside. There seemed to be a hidden cold draft blower somewhere. Excellent local produce selection including wine from nearby vineyards - which is darned good.

“Eat there, but whatever you do don't stay at the hotel!!!”
Reviewed 12 July 2013 via mobile

This is the first negative review I have ever felt compelled to write in tripadvisor. While the food was generously proportioned and of adequate quality, the service and structure of the restaurant require attention. To say the place was drafty and inadequately shielded from the outside would be an understatement. Service was inadequate. An okay place to eat if the weather is warm, but don't go there for dinner in winter and whatever you do DO NOT STAY AT THE HOTEL!!! I am well travelled and have seen some "rustic" places in my time, but the room that had to be "endured" was beyond belief. Filthy, aged, freezing cold (they shut the heating off in the middle of the night), paper thin walls, slamming doors. I think I slept for an hour and was at one point ready to sleep in my car! Hotel staff were rude and were much more concerned about recieving payment in advance than their guest's comfort. I was even greeted with a sneer and a dismissive gesture when i wanted to return the key to woman at reception who was too busy drinking coffee with colleagues to attend guests. Do yourself a favour, go and stay down the road at the Rylestone Hotel instead. I wish I had!!!!

“What a surprise!”
Reviewed 10 June 2013

We were driving back from a weekend away and decided to eat at Rylstone. The Globe hotel for lunch was a real find!. The meals were very generous and tasty - and the bottled wine by the glass a good selection. The only downside was that the room was very cold and we had to keep our coats on for the entire lunch,
