Staying at the burnie oceanview motel was a great base for exploring the north west of tasmania. the self contained cabins were clean and the beds comfortable. the owners were helpful and accommodating. having two separate bedrooms made staying in the cabins great with a teenager and he appreciated the wifi.... staying in one of the rear cabins was quiet even though the motel is on the highway...

Room Tip: stay in one of the rear cabins...

Thank you for your kind words. The Deluxe Cabins are one of our most popular rooms and the comments that we get are generally very favourable. We often get corporations using them to accommodate their staff as they are aware of the comfort level at a reasonable price.

From the outside the cabins look like shipping containers, our delux cabin which was located at the rear of the complex was warm and quiet. Four of us stayed in the 2br cabin which was timber lined with plenty of room for all of us. The weather was freezing but the heaters were fantastic and all beds had electric blankets except for the top bunk.

Would stay here again, don't expect anything too fancy with the delux cabin, but had everything we needed.

Room Tip: The motel on the main road may be a little noisy but the cabins at the back of the property are quie...

Thank you for your review. Our deluxe cabins always receive a good response. Unfortunately the weather has been cold this year on the North West coast, however it was very pleasing to read that you were cosy and warm. We look forward to your return visit.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Burnie Ocean View in an upstairs unit overlooking a magnificent view of the ocean and Table Cape in the distance. The room was extremely comfortable and well appointed and I very much enjoyed the opportunity to swim in their indoor pool. The walk on the beach across the road from the park was also most enjoyable and the Park's staff were most helpful and knowledgable of the area.

Room Tip: After looking around the rear of the park - I would recommend this accommodation, as the cabins and...

Thank you for your recent review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Our pool has a brand new electric heater, which heats to 30C,, so we are now able to keep the pool open all year, as opposed to having to close it in the winter months, as in previous years.

It is always a pleasure to welcome our guests from China. The 2 bedroom motel rooms are always a hit with our guests. I have seen residential units in Queensland which are smaller than these, so they do offer guests a bit of space. We call this block the "Park View units" however if you are lucky enough to book the upstairs 2 bedroom unit this gives you some beach views as well. We hope to accommodate you on your next visit.

Stayed here over a weekend ,the room was quite pleasant and roomy.
There is only a cold breakfast pack available but more than I could eat for $10 so good value.
I was in the back motel rooms where it was very quiet and no road noise.
Probably a great place for a family holiday in summer, though the beach is across a very busy road.
A fairway from the centre of town and the shops but fine if you have a car.
Try as I did I couldn't find a light switch for the light over the bed a small inconvenience.
Burnie is a lovely quirky town well worth a visit.

Room Tip: A back room has no view but would be away from road noise. that being said most of the other hotel...

Thanks for the review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We are about 3.5km from Burnie CBD which is good if you have a car or if you are into walking, as the Burnie City Council have just opened a walking track which starts close to the motel and follows the coast to the city. A beautiful walk. Hope to accommodate you again.

Thank you for your review and comments. As a small business we are upgrading the rooms in stages. The room that that you had has a new balcony added, the bedroom was gutted and all is new from the carpets, bed and bedding, TV, curtains, windows, joinery and reverse cycling air conditioner. The next stage is the kitchen, although we have replaced all the utilities and fridge recently. We are a bit behind on our schedule due to the local council going into competition with us and opening up free caravan parking just down the road, taking away an estimated 2/3rd of our caravan park trade. However as it is our intention to be the best 3 star motel in Burnie, we will continue to improve the property for the benefit of our guests.
