“A real treat in tranquility..”
Reviewed 11 March 2017 for a stay in February 2017

We spent 4 days here, what a wonderful birthday treat. The apartment is cosy comfortable, rustic and private. The gardens were a delight to wander around and enjoy, beautifully maintained by Ailsa and Rob. Lovely secluded areas, and each morning Ailsa served a breakfast to die for, most of the product grown in their garden and orchard. Any international chef would be proud to deliver same. She enjoys cooking, the presentation is superb. They were both happy to explore the gardens with us at length, also took us along the adjacent Rivulet via rainforest walks. Their hospitality was wonderful and non-intrusive. We left feeling we had made new friends.
The area is scenically beautiful, locals friendly and interesting with many small towns in close proximity, easy driving. Cygnet offers much as a community minded town, with attractions associated with the arts, fruit growing , sheep product, local history and timber industry and boating nearby. Hobart is just 40 mins drive. A favoured spot.

“A Tranquil Setting to Unwind”
Reviewed 18 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We were delighted with our stay at Elandil B&B. Our visit was in the depths of winter and our studio was very cosy and warm. Hosts Rob and Ailsa were very welcoming, without being intrusive, and they offered lots of local knowledge as to the most picturesque routes to take and eating places that showcase the local produce. Special home baked treats welcomed us and a pot belly fire (with a generous supply of wood) was ready to light if we wanted to supplement the electric heating. The owners’ home & the studio are set in very large gardens that border a small creek and forest. A number of bridges have been created to enable guests to wander through the fern gullies and enjoy the delights of this Tasmanian bush that is also home to Tassie devils and platypus. Guests should allow time to soak up these wonderful surrounds.

“Idylic Huon valley base”
Reviewed 14 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Thanks to Rob & Ailsa for being so welcoming. Lovely cosy room with everything you need. Beautiful walking trails through what I'd call rainforest. Ailsa makes what must be the best breakfasts in Tasmania and changed them every morning.
And we were lucky enough to get beautiful music thrown in.
