THE so called 5 course meal was a joke ,very little food and so overpriced !One could of tipped all the courses on one normal sized plate and there would of been still room for more .A joke really and definitely wont be going back. To those who still want to go ,I suggest you have a feed first before you get there, Oh and have a fat wallet!!!

Enjoyed the coffee not as good as playfish but nice enough, food was ok bit expensive for what is served, BUT the service was TERRIBLE!!!!! Rude and gloomy wait staff that want you to pay and leave before you even finish chewing your last mouthful. I would advise maybe some training would go a long way!!!! I don't know that I would go back sorry :(

We had breakfast at Laneway this morning after arriving in Devonport on the Spirit of Tasmania. They open at 7 am so perfect timing to drive off the ship and direct to a great breakfast and wonderful coffee. Coffee is excellent (would outclass many trendy Melbourne cafes) and the vegetarian breakfast of eggs (perfectly cooked), smashed avocado, grilled tomato, mushrooms, beans and wilted baby spinach all served with wonderful bread was one of the best I have ever eaten. Homemade tomato relish and Worcestershire sauce accompanies. Laneway is a little difficult to find, but well worth seeking out.

You walk in and feel like you are at home, always greeted with a smile, coffee is amazing and the food is always spot on. A hip urban oasis in Devonport :) My favourite place to chill out

I read about the Laneway on tripadvisor and we stopped there for coffee a few days ago. What a fantastic place. Great ambience, great coffee and local produce. We will definitely return for a meal.
