We were very much welcomed by our lovely hosts, Helen & Ian. Apart from our own room of course, we also had our own sitting room, kitchen & bathroom. It's a magnificent house!!
Geoff & i really enjoyed our recent 2 night stay in 'the Manor'; a beautiful large federation home & garden in an essentially residential area. Just 5 mins from the Sprit of Tasmania port. The house and garden are beautifully kept. Our hosts Helen & Ian were so open and welcoming. Enthusiasm for the home was evident just talking to them! Our bed was extremely comfortable (i "felt like a princess! "). We enjoyed our own sitting room, bathroom and well stocked kitchen. Thoughtful touches such as home baked goodies & jam & fruit from the garden were welcoming. Sitting out on the large verandah with our breakfast topped an altogether relaxing few days. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Devonport.
We enjoyed our one night with Helen and Ian on our way to catch a day crossing on the spirit. The location is perfectly situated to the port which made our early start perfect.
The house is beautiful, filled lovingly with treasures. The garden is gorgeous as well. We had everything we could wish for, plus more.
Helen and Ian are very generous and friendly hosts. We will definitely be back.
Arrived on the spirit of tassie for two weeks holiday, and were fortunate to be hosted by Helen and Ian in their magnificent home. It's like stepping back in time, old style home and furnishings, meticulously cared for and stunning rose garden. Bedroom, sitting room and kitchen to ourselves, provisions for a healthy breakfast were all part of a very warm country style welcome. Highly recommended, and we are fortunate to be able to book a night again before we jump back on the spirit of tassie, so convenient to the ferry back to Port Melbourne.
We had a the most wonderful stay. The hospitality of Helen and Ian was first class being not only made to feel at home but we fealt totally spoilt, with the home made jams etc etc it was a delightful 4 nights.
We would surely recommend Yangunya Manor for anyone wanting to stay in a B&B in Tassie. It really was the best B&B (we have been to a few) we have ever experienced.
