Driving through Freycinet was great, many different places to stop and take in the view. Will definitely go back and explore some more.

We went to Coles Bay for one day just to "complete" our visit to the magnificent Freycinet Peninsular (after the mandatory walk up to the Wineglass Bay look-out and down to the Beach itself) and were very pleasantly surprised. The views across the Bay to The Hazards are simply the best views of these fantastic mountains! Make sure you include a coffee at Richardsons Cafe at the Freycinet Lodge looking directly down on Richardson's Beach - marvellous!

Coles Bay Tas is a must to visit if touring the State of Tasmania. The scenery is magnificent and the Wineglass Bay walk should be on your to do list. Remember to take a drink and a snack as the walk is probably 40 minutes there and 40 minutes back but well worth it. We always stay for a couple of nights at 25 Bradley Drive Coles Bay by booking through Freycinet Rentals. Not a lot of choices when it comes to restaurants but such a pretty spot.

Close to Freycinet, but that's about all it offered. Very little variety with food and coffee. Also stayed one night in Bicheno which has a decent small supermarket a choice of pub and cafe's for meals and 20 minutes up the road. Good value accommodation also.

My partner brought me here for my birthday and it was just beautiful. Although the day was a little overcast, the beach was still very pretty and calm. Unfortunately, we weren't able to do the Wineglass Bay walk as we needed a park pass which we didn't know about till after we had lunch so keep in mind, just to visit and have a little look around, to get a park pass from a ranger.
Had lunch at The Bay Restaurant at the National Park, had the open hamburger and it was very delicious. Service I found to be a little slow but otherwise friendly. Overall great time and experience. Would love to go back to do the walk, now that we know.
