Upon booking Ros was very helpful and arrival to the property was very easy. Despite just staying for the 1 night, I really did feel at home! It was very comfortable and clean. This place is perfect for the solo traveller or a couple and its name ' Hazards Escape' is fitting! Everything was provided for and it's just a few minutes drive from Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay and other local attractions. I truly loved it and will look to book here again in my next visit to this gorgeous location!

“Clean, tidy, very affordable and warm”

Lovely little place for a quiet getaway. Greeted by Ros and Lilla, the owner and her gorgeous daughter. Very hospitable. Although small, it's very clean, modern and has everything you need. So warm and cosy with the underfloor heating. Just outside Freycinet National Park which is spectacular and a must see whilst in Tasmania. Highly recommend staying here and hope to be back one day.

“Fantastic value!”
Reviewed 14 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Modern studio apartment fully equipped with everything you could possibly need...including a nice little outside patio area to sip a wine whilst watching the sun set. Only thing missing was a washing machine, but I'm sure the friendly owner operator who lives in the adjacent townhouse (Rosalind) would do a load for you if required / you asked her to. Fantastic value in one of the most beautiful undeveloped seaside locations on the planet.

“Great stay”
Reviewed 13 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Hazards Escape is in a peaceful holiday area about 5 minutes from Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park. The latter is the major attraction and a must-do if you're in the area. The unit itself is very clean and while small, has everything you need for a short break. There is a nice decked area outside. The owners live next door and are very friendly whilst maintaining privacy for the guests and themselves. On our arrival Roz realized that my husband was a keen coffee drinker and because the coffee plunger had broken she drove into Bicheno (the nearest town with any real amenities) and got him a new one. This was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. We really enjoyed our time in the area. Bicheno is a cute seaside town with a lovely foreshore walk. Swansea is also worth a stop. There is a beach a short walk from the Escape and the Friendly Beaches area (part of the Nat Park) is only a short drive and beautiful.

This little apartment felt like home away from home. Nicely set up in a quiet area and only a few minutes away from Freycinet National Park. We stayed for two nights, got up early and did the Wineglass Bay/Hazards Beach Circuit then came home and relaxed.

“Quiet little hideaway close to Freycinet National Park”
Reviewed 12 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Immaculate mini house, with all mod cons, a few minutes drive from Coles Bay & a short further distance to the stunning Freycinet National Park. Hazard's Escape is set up primarily for couples - or singles I suppose. The unit is ultra-modern & is well set-up for short or long stays. There is no stove, but this more than made up for by a invection cooktop, a microwave & a combined grill/oven. There is no dishwasher but we did not find that to be a problem. Hazard's Escape is built close by the owners' house but is remarkably quiet for all that. Queen size bed is suitably comfortable & there is no lack of hanging space should you wish to unpack. Shower (no bath) supplied plenty of stream & heat. Heated towel rail is a nice touch. Lounge has a very comfortable leather sofa, an excellent tv with a DVD player as well as a VCR (plus a range of movies). There is also a mini hi-fi (with aux port) should you want for music. Walls are decorated with some stunning images of the natural beauty abounding hereabouts. Criticisms? Hard to come up with much. The outside area could be enhanced with a small BBQ perhaps. Other than that my only other tip would be for visitors to bring your slippers: the polished concrete floor looks great but is a tad cold. Near the tv is no problem: there's a very warm rug - elsewhere not so great. In summer the floor might be a boon. Best bring your slippers.

“A Real Gem”
Reviewed 9 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely unit. It is very comfortable and has all the amenities you need. The bonus for us was the floor heating - what a wonderful suprise that was when it came on, no need for the heater after that! Thanks Ros for a great place to stay :)
