First time diner, should've stopped previously, will not miss this again.
Unassuming signage belies the food delights inside, an emporium indeed.
And road friendly hours, open 7 days.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch of red beef curry, my wife enjoyed a frittata.
The delight was the home made ice cream, coffee for me and mulberry for her.
Really delicious. The idea of the owners to run a business on the garden to plate principal isn't new, but it's adhered to and works perfectly.

Won't ever go through Hamilton again without stopping for something to eat or drink, or both. Thanks for a very pleasant lunch experience.

Apologies for the red tinge in the photo, the umbrella we dined under was red.

We stopped in at Jacksons as it seems like it had character from the outside - we weren't wrong! It has a very interesting menu with everyone catered for (I'm always unsure what I'll get in small country towns given I am vegetarian). There were a number of options and the food was delicious with as much of it gate to plate as possible. A great little find and I would definitely stop in again if ever in the area.

Small cafe on the Lyell highway in the village of hamilton
Also is a bakery. Home made pastries. Local produce. Limited bakery selection. When we were there four nice soups on offer. Enjoyed the pea and ham with small bun and butter. Good stop on your way across the state. Toilet is a blue portable in the back yard

Beautiful tasty food using their own home grown ingredients. Home made ginger beer, sour cream, lots of chutneys and sauces and the best bit was finishing lunch with home made ice creams!

Beautiful cafe, very welcoming. Amazing food, great range of gluten free options in sweet and savoury. Fantastic homemade sauces for sale too! Highly recommended stop on the way to Strahan.
