When I was booking our Tassie trip's accom I was looking for unique properties to stay, rather than staying in bog standard main town/city accom.
We were THRILLED with the total experience of Brickendon Estate.
We stayed in the Sweetcorn Cottage for 2 nights. It was like we were stepping back in time. The cottage could comfortably sleep 7- 2 bedrooms.
The first night we didn't leave the fire running - and it was bitterly cold when we awoke. The next night we had a roaring fire stoked as we went to bed and it was lovely and toasty when we awoke.
The farm animals are fed at 10:15am every morning. Our 3 yr old was delighted (as my husband and I were- we are city slickers) by the whole experience.
The property is absolutely divine. A wedding reception was being set up in the main barn.
I HIGHLY recommend staying here.
