“Rosies Inn”
Reviewed 12 April 2013

From the moment you ring the bell Rosie is there to make your stay as good as it can be, the attention to detail is wonderful and those who enjoy the old fashion B&B experience will not be disappointed.
Rosie's continental Breakfast is very satisfying and we(as tourists) quite enjoyed the local knowledge that Rosie and Colin were willing to share.
Thanks, Rosie and Colin for a memorable stay.

Rosies was a pleasant stay however it does need a makeover. Rooms are clean but over the top with artificial flowers, trimmings, magazines from 2008 and general kitsch. We were annoyed to see so many rules including how much water we were allowed to put in the kettle. Breakfast adequate but an extra $10 for an omlette or fried eggs seemed a bit overpriced. Owners very friendly and helpful. Beautiful garden, what a pity only fake flowers everywhere!

Very welcoming. This is a long established business with all the benefits of experience. Off street parking and free internet connection among the many pros of this accomodation. Located at the top of a quiet cul de sac but well signed and not at all difficult to find. We were warmly welcomed by Rosie who showed us to our room (we had chosen an ensuite room but understand that many of her rooms had separate facilities further down the corridor.) It was immaculately clean and very comfortable if a little on the small size as we were toting two large suitcases and hand luggage!! We had full use of a large kitchen, comfortable lounge, with complimentary aperitifs, a substantial inclusive continental breakfast (a cooked breakfast was available on request and at a small supplement) taken in a beautiful breakfast room. Off street parking and free internet access were an added bonus. Rosie has been in this business for many years and her experience shows. Her husband Colin also helps and both were very gracious and welcoming hosts. We can thoroughly recommend their b & b.

This is great place to stay... if you want to keep in touch with your feminin side.... Too many doilies, hats and flowers for me... Needs to be a bit more blokey other than that the service was excellent, the breakfast was continental but you could get a cooked one for an extra $10

Don't normally stay in B&B but Hobart booked out at the time and we were heading for Straun any way. Pleasent reasonably big B&B, quaint tasteful decor, great hosts, good parking, well priced, delightful feel about breakfast in main dining area. Had tea in local pub was also good but not a town that stays up late. Nice little find.
