The Oatlands Lodge Colonial B&B is a delight. Extremely comfortable and welcoming.
A wonderful breakfast, delightful setting and great history of the small town and district as a bonus.
The hosts Dan and Gerard are very welcoming with information on the history of Oatlands. Their local Pancake and Crepe shop serves delicious offerings to enhance your visit to Oatlands.

Room Tip: Low ceiling to room entry in one of the rooms, otherwise all lovely. There are stairs to the rooms.

A wonderful package of what makes people want to come to Tassi. The Lodge is a beautifully preserved part of Oatland's history, right in the centre of town. Inside it is a mini museum, full of period pieces. Rooms were comfortable though when we were there maybe a little cool for some people. Helpful hosts served a massive Country breakfast.

Room Tip: Check the heating

A historical home, tastefully decorated and located in the centre of town. The hosts are informative, charming and very attentive. The bedrooms are warm and inviting, clean and spacious. The breakfast is just delicious! Oaklands is a wonderful town containing numerous historical buildings. Stone fencing surrounds the many sandstone cottages and their lovely gardens. A bakery, creperie, hotel, restaurant, pharmacy and supermarket are located within a short walk of the lodge. A sour dough bread making course is available at the local bakery and there is an interesting walking tour of the town and local wheat mill. Stay, you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: The blue room is peaceful and the window attracts a nice evening breeze.

We are just back from a 10 day trip to Tasmania. We stayed at several B&B's and this B&B @ Oatlands was the best great hosts Gerard and Dan made to feel so at home and they also own the Pancake & Crepe shop which is a real treat. We stayed 2 nights @ Oatlands and loved the Georgian sandstone houses and the B&B has lots of collectables and antiques. The full english breakfast is the best breakfast we have had in quite awhile. We really do recommend you stay @ Oatlands Lodge next time you are in the Midland area of Tassie.

Room Tip: We stayed in the blue room and it was very comfy.

We stayed for one night and enjoyed the location and the great breakfast, charming, hard working hosts with local knowledge. Our room wasn't great to access and lacked opening windows to get a draught through on a hot day.
The owners also run the local creperie which is good too.
Saw a duck billed platypus in the local lake, which was a bonus.

We stayed one night here with our two teenagers. Gerard and Dan were very welcoming and gracious hosts, ensuring that everyone was comfortable and at ease. The Georgian sandstone house is a treat, chock full of antiques and collectables. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the dining room the next morning was delicious and enormous; no need for lunch that day! Oatlands is a delightful little town, full of history and great for a stroll, about an hour from Hobart.

The Visitors' Centre in Triabunna recommended we stay here and we certainly were not disappointed. We were sad we could only manage one night. We were made most welcome by Gerard and the sumptious decor and clean comfortable rooms plus the excellent breakfast made a stay to be remembered. Conversation with fellow guests over breakfast the next morning flowed and we all had to pull ourselves away to move on to our next ports of call. A real home from home!
