Worth the extra 5 km drive past port Arthur to the few mins walk down to the cave - it's really beautiful and with a bit of climbing you can get down onto the sand and enjoy the beach to yourself.

“Loved it”

Definitely worth the visit. If you climb the rail and get onto the sand below, you can walk out onto the beach and go through the cave. Amazing

“The name says it all”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

Yes, it is a remarkable cave, but beware of entering it in high tides or rough seas. Although there is a walkway, with barriers, people do climb over them and go into the cave.

“Remarkable cave”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

What a beautiful cave. Seeing the sea caves from the water through Iron Pot cruises and then experiencing a sea cave from Port Arthur was spectacular. Another fabulous view from where we parked our car and a spectacular surprise when walking down a flight of stairs that led us into a spectacular cave. Another beautiful place in Tasmania for those who love nature.

Probably the best part of our visit to Port Arthur was stopping off here. Just an absolutely gorgeous location!
