Shippies as the locals call it is great as a walking trail reasonably easy walk to the top of the desent as shown in the picture but from there on it turnes into a steep trail you can walk to the heae land shown in the distance. In the right weather conditions this place goes off the surf is huge Big wave riders from all over the world come to challenge themselves at shippies

The track in was terrible, but the view was fantastic. Very much well worth the walk. Just to see the amazing waves and the jet skiers

This is a great walk through Tasmsnian forest down to some spectacular coastal scenery. This place has the biggest waves in Tasmania and you're likely to see some surfers bobbing around in the water. It's alos spectacular as a walk, particuarly when you get down to the rocks and are dwarfed by the waves. Bring a towel as there is a sauna in a paddock at the beginning and end of the walk!

We had such a fun day! Such varied scenery on the walk rewarded with spectacular views closer to the end. We stayed a while to explore the rocks and watch the waves crashing against the shore.

Relaxing walk to coast where now days surfers catch the big waves. There is a steep climb coming back, but ok if you are reasonably fit. Good coastal views. Best to go for low tide.
