Highly recommend. Jan made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The room was clean and comfortable.
There was a lovely sitting room (complete with port)
She was very helpful with suggestions of places to see and things to do.

The B&B was very nice and the owners were very accommodating and great conversationalists! I always have a light breakfast, but a couple who were also staying there had a wonderful FULL breakfast, it looked and smelled wonderful and the couple said it was just as good as it looked/smelled :) While the rooms have antennae tv's, it does have a community lounge room with a digital tv. The wifi was very good, other places I have stayed the wifi is often 'spotty'. The location is excellent.

Had a night in this magnificent old b & b, in the upstairs twin room. Beautifully decorated house and bedroom and gorgeous gardens. Jan also made a two course dinner for us, which was fabulous ... My mother who I travelled with has food allergies, and Jan was extremely accommodating, even making a loaf of special rye bread for mum to have with her breakfast. We had a beautiful baked rainbow trout and lovely vegies from their garden ... delicious. Desert was also delicious and the hospitality was second to none. Breakfast was beautiful and nothing was too much trouble ... definitely a must to stay if you are going to Scottsdale. I had to vacate my bed at 2am due to my mother's terrible snoring and found a bed which I crawled into across the hall. I told Jan of this next morning and she was pleased I did this, it wasn't a problem at all and there was no extra charge. Truly a delight.

This B & B was the highlight of all our accomodation during our 16 days of touring Tasmania. Jan & Holger where excellent hosts. The rooms and breakfasts have been the best we have stayed in, within Australia. Jan's breakfasts are to die for, along with the homemade jams and relishes, some of which we also purchased to bring back home. Jan & Holger's home and hospitality adds to the sometimes forgotten treasures we have in our country. Highly recommended!

Firstly can not speak highly enough of our hostess, Jan. Just like catching up with an old family friend. Perfect example of Tasmania's heritage and history mixed with good old country charm and hospitality. Beautiful gardens, a veggie garden to die for! Amazing home cooked breakfast including Jan's hand made museli, jams and juice. Jan is also happy to prepare other meals for you with 24 hours notice.

We were lucky enough to have the sitting room to ourselves and sat by the open fire. You are even allowed to light the open fire in your room!

Spa was just big enough for the two of us, wish we had have had the chance to use the personal sauna.

Definitely will be back to visit if we are in the Scottsdale area again. You need to add Scottsdale to your itinerary if you are touring the top end. Amazingly beautiful town.

Great B & B with an amazing Bed and huge shower/ spa ( Sauna was also available ).
Jan & Holger were great hosts and made us feel very welcome in their home. Loved relaxing in the lounge room with fiends siping on a quiet port and eating Tasmanian Chocalate.
Jan gave us some great regarding what to see and do as we continued our trip.
A must see is the carved timber War Memorial at Legerwood.

My family and I stayed two nights in Scottsdale when we first got to Tasmania as we couldn't find any accomodation for the four of us in Launceston.
We were so glad we did. What a lovely introduction to Tasmania, and to Bed and Breakfast accommodation at Beulah Heritage Bed and Breakfast.Very comfortable rooms and beds with a knockout home cooked breakfast included in a grand dining room. Multiple course brekky with all manner of choices from yoghurt, bacon and eggs, homemade muesli (thumbs up), real milk (pasteurised only), fresh fruit and produce from the vege patch and all manner of freshly made jams and rhubarb products- relishes, juice. We felt like kings and all cooked to order by Jan at a time that suited us. The girls learnt how to play pool and at night we lit the fire in the guests lounge room and read and talked. Free internet and we were even offered skype to call our daughter overseas. Beautiful gardens.
The pub across the road does a great old fashioned counter meal. The rump steak was supersize and very good. Although sadly they had run out of Tassie wine to wash it down with.
Scottsdale is an old fashioned country town that is trying to survive post logging. Friendly people and nearby Bridport Beach was great for our first freezing but gorgeous swim in Tassie waters. Quaint town with above average bed and breakfast accomodation. A good place to pass through to get to St Helens. Central to the North East corner of Tassie. Make sure you see spectacular St Columba's Falls nearby. Also nearby Janz champagne estate, Lavender Farm and forests.
