This was a happy stopover. Nothing was too much trouble for Ross & Dean to make our stay comfortable - from the cold beer on the veranda when we arrived, to the delicious evening meal and breakfast in the morning.. We enjoyed a bedroom ensuite and adjoining personal sitting room with outside entrance to the spa and garden areas. In short, this is a wonderfully restored period villa (1868) well appointed in elegant surroundings which fostered for us a most delightful and memorable stay.

This slightly quirky b&B is well worth a visit, it is a bit of a work in progress and will be stunning once it is finished. Dean and Ross are great hosts and very genuine. Breakfast was fantastic and we felt very welcome, they love to share the details of the house and the development of the garden, cant wait to see how it all turns out in a few years.

Room Tip: The fireplace room has a separate sitting room.

To say the least we were both blown away by the friendliness of our host Dean and Ross, our luggage was taken to our room for us followed by a tour of their beautiful home and gardens. We had the fire place suite which has two fire places, one in the sitting room and the other in the queen size bedroom with en-suite. The room was beautiful with flowers such as Oriental lilies, Calla lilies, green goddess and roses and also a bowl of fresh fruit was provided with the tastiest Tasmanian pink lady apple I have ever eaten. We stayed at willow lodge for two nights enjoying the company of Ross, Dean and their old time friend Brian sharing great stories, food, wine and laughter and can these boys cook up a fantastic meal. Breakfast was divine in the dinning room with the open fire burning. The hot tub out in the back yard next to a massive open fire place is a must do as the sun sets over the mountainous backdrop and the stars provide the most spectacular show, there is no better way to wrap up a wonderful week in Tasmania then staying at Willow Lodge. We left feeling we had made new friends and will be sure to return in the near future.

This stay was full of wonderful surprises from the moment we met Dean and Ross to seeing the fantastic house and their collection of wonderful objects. The garden is an ongoing work of art and full of enchanting areas. Work is also in progress in the house and hopefully the ensuites will be updated to the rest of the standard of the house. Hospitality from them both is second to none and we can recommend the evening meal. We with another couple who were staying had a good laugh at getting breakfast served by Dean and Ross in their dressing gowns.

My partner and I stayed 1 night around mid Jan at the Willow lodge between 2 weeks of campervan travelling and it was a welcome stay. From the moment we arrived, Ross and Dean were welcoming and made us feel at ease. We stayed in the fire place suit and was extremely comfortable and homely. Bed was amazing and the views from the garden second to none. While we ate dinner in town, we were suprised to hear local patrons raving about the Willow Lodge before we even spoke about staying there. The hot tub was a treat around sunset. Our breakfast was top shelf the next morning. My partner was in love with the little chickens running around the property and often found her following them! Our only regret is that we couldn't stay more than one night there but will be our first preference upon our next trip to Tasmania. Thanks again Ross and Dean.

We spent 4 weeks travelling around Tasmania, staying in many types of accommodation especially B&B's. Willow Lodge was the best and such a delightful stay. The hosts were extremely friendly and couldnt do enough for us. The room was beautifully appointed and the meals were first class. Dinner was a private affair in a gorgeous dining room with fine china, candles and even fresh roses from the garden. Our stay here was and will remain the highlight of our first trip to Tasmania.

We stayed at Willow Lodge for one night, in the Fireplace Room. Excellent atmosphere and setting, only surpassed by the hospitality extended to us by Dean and Ross. Dinner was magnificent, and breakfasted included a potted history of the house, together with an insight into their future plans for the place. We'll be back to check your progress! A great place for a rest, with fantastic views of the hills. Thanks to you both.

Room Tip: Both rooms looked great.
