Let's face it, there aren't many places to stay in the area. We found a basic hotel room at the Tidal Waters for about $130, a 1960's motel room next to the drive in liquor store for about $79, or this amazing cottage with a view for $90! I had little expectation when she gave me the price and a key to preview the unit. There were just the two of us, but the cottage had THREE tiny bedrooms -- you could sleep 8-10 people if you really had to! The kitchen and bathrooms were brand new and the whole cottage was cozy and refurbished. It was very clean and exceptionally quiet -- ten times better than a hotel room! From our front porch we could see the bay! It was a surprisingly nice place to stay and the best bargain we found in Tasmania. There is nothing negative to say. After a long day of traveling and driving around for an hour to find a reasonable place to stay, we were thrilled with our cottage and loved the bargain. There is an onsite restaurant but we didn't get a chance to try it.
