We turned up unannounced on a Sunday afternoon as part of a group of about 30 (having left the place that had been booked due to poor service). The staff could not have been more welcoming or accommodating as we basically took over the place.

The pizzas were great, fresh and tasty, not your usual fare. Those who had oysters raved about them as well.

It's BYO alcohol so come prepared, or visit the bottle shop across the road.

I attended the Pirate Point Oyster Bar opening night in Stanley and the night was a great success! The taster plates were quality, shark skewers a hit and the local oysters were second to none! The friendly staff were great, and very much in 'character' as they wore pirate costumes and played the role with aplomb! The host and owner, Tom Kennedy was fun, knowledgeable and enthusiastic! As this is a new operation, there are some kinks to iron out, but for my mind, the Pirate Point Oyster Bar will be the place to be on the North West coast of Tassie for some time to come!
