This place is quiet and peaceful - stayed over easter in Room 404 (2bedroom) and it was alongside the roundabout). Road noise wasn't an issue as the town pretty much shuts down @ 8pm.
The only point I'd raise - walking from the front entrance @ night through the RV parking area, it is quite dark and with bad eyesight, I seriously needed a torch. There wasn't any directional lighting along the road to guide you back to your room if you decided to walk from the take away food shop @ the front entrance. my only suggestion would be to put in extra lighting along the roadside as the park does get quite dark @ night.
2 bedroom cabin was quite modern, clean and tidy and the bed comfortable (not super luxurious, but what do you expect for the price?)
Staying in Cabin 404, there was no internet access due to the construction materials used to build the cabin. this is NOT a BAD thing!!!! It was bliss having no internet for 3 days we were there and I didn't miss it. I'm sure it would have worked had we gone closer to the front office (cabin 404 is at the back of the park) but had no desire/ need for modern technology.
If you have an optus mobile phone, they also don't work in the park - that is also not a bad thing - not having a mobile phone when our goal was to escape all outside communication was bliss. Happily go and stay here again.
Again, only rated down due to the darkness of the park and lack of directional lighting through the RV section
Clean environment; kitchen facilities are great; bed is soft but strong; toilet is clean and shower cabin is sizable.
Our stay here was incredible. When we booked we had originally booked thinking we would be in the caravan park however upon arrival there was much confusion as our booking could not be found. Turns out we had booked into a recently sold part of the park across the road. Both the staff at the caravan park and the new owners were very helpful in getting us into out accommodation. The facilities provided to us by the caravan park were good, including wifi and the laundry. The room that we stayed in was more like a small house, the kitchen had everything we needed and was spacious, the living and bedrooms were also perfect for what we need. We particularly liked the loft style main bedroom which was VERY nice. The best part by far was the bathroom!! The shower was the best we'd had for our whole trip and the space in that bathroom was incredible. The accommodation is close to town and a pleasant walk to the main street too! We would absolutely stay again and we wished we'd had more time to enjoy this place.
Pleasantly surprised at the size of our cottage. As a mum travelling with 3 kids I was thrilled to get a bedroom to myself again. The firm bed sorted out my back from the last rental! Kids thought it was great. Easy walk into town and convenient for the various activities in the area. Don't miss the play "The Ship That Never Was"- fantastic!!
Have recently stayed here for a week. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful with everything
very clean and tidy unit
We stayed over the Christmas break and staff were pleasant when we checked in. We had a unit that had shared walls which felt quite thin as you could hear the neighbours and smell their cooking. Other downside was the cable tv was intermittent and froze often.
On the positive side - it was a nice little unit with a decent space, bedroom closed off, dining area and kitchenette. Was clean and on the new side, bed comfortable with nice sheets and extra blankets & fan.
