What an amazing day. I gave my partner the Gordon River cruise as part of his 40th birthday present and we were upstairs on the Captains Deck. From the moment we arrived to the end of the cruise it was a wonderful day. The staff were attentive and the captain was very knowledgeable and funny, in a typical Aussie lad way, throughout the day.

They were trialling hot toddy's and mulled wine (I think) and I had a hot toddy which was my first - it was delicious. I had another later in the cruise. The food was abundant and the drinks were as often as you wanted.

While the boat was great and the service on it faultless it was the beauty of the scenery that was the real star of the day. From going out through Hell's Gates and cruising up the Gordon River to stopping at Sarah Island it was all perfect. The Gordon River is both mesmerizing and breathtaking. The stillness of the water and the reflections were beautiful. Definitely a must do cruise for anyone visiting Strahan, the absolute highlight of the trip.

A friend had told us to go for the more expensive Captains deck. We were so pleased we did. From the moment you stepped on board you felt like a VIP. The food and drink didn't stop during the day and the quality was terrific. The running commentary was great and all the staff were very knowledgeable. I must admit we got a beautiful still, winter's day so we were very lucky to see the scenery at it's best. If you can afford it I would defiantly suggest going for the higher deck. A highlight of our trip to Tassie.

This is a must do experience and the Lady Jane is the only way to go. We went for the full on service on the upper deck. The food, wine and beauty of the region was amazing. And it didn't rain on the day we went.

thanks to Gordon River Cruises we saw one of the most pristine parts of the planet. And we did it in style. We paid for window seats but if we went again would have seats in the middle of the boat as they were raised and you could see in all directions. The lunch provided was very good, the smoked salmon to die for!! Best day ever!
