If you're doing the West Coast on a budget then it's hard to find affordable accommodation in Strahan . We rented a budget family cabin on Wotif for $130. I think that's still pretty pricey for caravan park accommodation but the cabin suited our needs. The mattress on the double bed had seen better days so my husband slept in one of the bunks and the door to the toilet was off its hinges.
The park has a bottle shop & take away/ grocery right out the front which is handy. We had our bikes with us so the short trip into town was very pleasant along the shared walk way.
