We stayed two nights in a spa unit and felt utterly spoilt, especially at breakfast time (I think we were the only one's there?). It was like we were a king and queen dining in a banquet hall being waited on by two esteemed gentlemen from the royal court! Best breakfast you'll ever lay eyes on and most satisfied belly you'll ever feel afterwards from feasting on divine delicacies such as breakfast trife, bircher muesli and baked porridge. A real treat to look forward to. Noel and Neal were most accommodating and provided us with a DVD player for our room at our request. Their two little dogs are a delight and the cheeky behaviour of the newest addition, Dougal, most entertaining.

We stayed in the mews of Meredith House, which we found to be very comfortable and charming with a beautiful garden, tasteful heritage furniture and a lovely, soft big bed.

The owners, Noel and Neil pay close attention to detail and the delicious baked treats in our room upon arrival were much appreciated.

Breakfast was the highlight as it seems to be for most reviewers. Baked porridge was to die for, and delicious hot meals and a range of juices and homemade smoothies made this a great dining experience... we are left to wonder why these fellows haven't opened a restaurant already!

We received helpful service and our early morning breakfast request was catered to - thank you! Keep up the good work!

From the minute we arrived at Meredth House we knew we were in for a treat. Even from the outside the House looks inviting and if anything is even more so once inside. The building is full of "stuff" from a bygone era and it is so tastefully done that it fires your interest and imagination. Our room was wonderfully spacious with a very comfy bed and so warm on a very chilly winter's day/night. Breakfast was to die for with more items on the menu than we could possibly do justice too. Sunrise was quite staggering from our room-room one surely has to be one of the best in the house. In all honesty this was quite simply up there with the best B&B's we have ever stayed in, a real gem. Thanks to our hosts Neil and Noel for making our stay memorable.

Room Tip: Room one was great for us but I am sure other Meredith rooms would be just as good. Travellers should perhaps be aware that more motel style rooms are available in the adjacent mews. I suspect these rooms would be great quality and value too but worth asking for clarification.

Had a one night stay and would have loved longer. Lush, comfortable room with a view and great attention to detail to maintain the heritage feel of the place. Breakfast did not disappoint- my only critiscism was there was so much I worried about the wastage of what we couldn't eat!! Have to mention the owners 2 cute dogs too- very well behaved and a pleasant distraction.
Would highly recommend staying here and in Swansea. We ate at the pub and my husband still hasn't stopped raving about the steak he had!

I would hazard a guess that this is the best accommodation in town. The hosts were charming, the accommodation tasteful and decent views are to be had from the Bay View room. The Brobdingnagian breakfast is a must. Pete & Debbie June 2014
