“Beautiful stay in beautiful location!”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Cabins are cozy and have all that you need. The views onto oyster bay form the living room and bedrooms are stunning and you can hear the rolling of the waves as you sleep. The kitchen is in the midst of being updated but even now has all you need to cook up a dinner. Furnishings are modern as is the bathroom. The location is perfect and only about an hours drive onto the entrance to Freycinet National Park. Swansea is about 10minutes away for your supermarket shop. Chris, the owner was a wonderful host, and nothing was too much trouble. He even posted a pair of earrings back after we left them behind. Four of us (adults) stayed in this cabin and we didn't feel over crowded. I would highly recommend staying here, and would definitely go back! Happy travels! :)

The cabin was lovely & generous in size, the host friendly and helpful, but the views were spectacular!! I wish we had booked in for more than one night!

If you are looking for a meal nearby, I recommend Saltshaker restaurant in Swansea for dinner or breakfast :)

Chris thank you for your hospitality. What a wonderful place to stay and amazing views. We really enjoyed our one night stay - wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin was beautifully decorated and the views were incredible. Would recommend this accommodation to others. We will be back!

After experiencing Hotel Charles in Launceston the night before, staying at the Hamptons was a very poor cousin. An elusive smell with an overlay of manufactured scent was unpleasant as we entered, and all windows were open (imbedding the suspicion that something was on the nose).
Yes, the location is awesome, the breaking waves visible and audible from the comfy bed, but no the hammer drill at 8am was not appreciated and nor could be understood as there were many vacant cabins further up the hill. An eclipse of the moon reinforced the fabulous location, but the inferior quality fittings and bad smell was not worth the $$$.

Room Tip: there appears to be renovations going on next to Cabin 1. If you can, get a cabin further up the hi...

Dear Witchwand,
I am disappointed you did not enjoy your stay. Hotel Charles is a beautiful hotel (but do not offer a kitchenette) so I am not sure of the comparison. We offer cooking facilities as an extra so that those who may like to stay in can. Swansea is only ten minutes away and there is a great selection of restaurants and cafes offering breakfast from 6am through to dinner. The majority of our guests are only with us for the one night so we have tried to cater for this with our small but equipped kitchens.. Our newly renovated cabins have brand new queen beds, quality linen, new sofas, new dining settings and Tv.'s... so could you please let me know what fittings you found inferior. It is great to get feedback and that can only help us to improve.

Ever reliable trip advisor is how we came across this hidden gem. We couldn't believe the photos so had to see it for ourselves and the real deal was even more stunning!
The cabins are perfectly located on the seaside about 10 mins drive south of Swansea which gives Hamptons a secluded luxurious feel.
We picked up a seafood platter and Pinot Gris from town for a very memorable romantic dinner over sunset with that view.
As it's quite new, there aren't many reviews compared to accommodation in the middle of Swansea but don't let that deter you. This has to be the best accommodation in the area and worth more than the price tag. We're so glad we stayed here instead of in town.

Thanks Angela_and_Maciej,
Really appreciate the positive feedback as we are still relatively new and it's nice to know we are heading in the right direction. Yes we are secluded but still only ten minutes from town and yes the views are amazing and yes we do think our prices are reasonable.
Thanks again,

We were only able to stay for one night and that's a shame as the room we had was well appointed and with a beautiful view across the bay. We saw a beautiful sunset and the whole experience could only have been improved if there had been the balcony that other reviews have mentioned.
If you stay here, try to make it for at least 2 or 3 nights and spend some time in the area, especially if you like having 9 miles of soft white sandy beach all to yourself (plus a few seagulls) another advantage is that there are hardly any flies!!
Would have given 5 but it would benefit from balconies and access to the beach below the cliffs

Thankyou for your wonderful review. As mentioned previously we are unable to construct balconies off the cabins as we are in a very sensitive council zone that restricts us from making any further building amendments. The cabins were constructed in the nineties and had to get special approval to be built at that time and no modifications have been allowed since. Look forward to seeing you again.

Beautiful view ! I specially loved watching beautiful sun rise.
We stayed in bed and watced sun rise ! Room was very clean and everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our breakfast were there and we really enjoyed our stay. Shower was bit slow as it was from the tank water. I would liked reception to be more welcome mood and certainly the big windows need to be cleaned so If you are staying, may ask them that the windows are clean or not because it will spoil the beautiful view !!
