“Interesting for the whole family”

We milked the cow!!! We learned whip cracking. We saw sheep shearing.

For a family living in the city, this absolutely fantastic.

Tips: Make sure you check the Activities Schedule on the WEB before you go so you don't miss anything.

“Highly Recommended”

Skip the penguin tours and drive to Phillip Island yourself so you can check out this gem of a destination. There's no need to pay for the farm, just enjoy the walk around the island which is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of varied flora and fauna. We took the Northern loop and loved the views. It took less than an hour. The drive in and out is interesting as well: there are plenty of farm animals all around and some even came real close to the car.

“A nice relaxing place to spend a couple of hours”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

After a ride over a small causeway there is an historical house and lovely cafe selling an assortment of home made cakes. When we visited, a young cattle dog was in training rustling up sheep. Entertaining. Plus visitors can have a go of cracking a whip or stroke one of their big clydesdale horses. There isn't a lot to do but the gardens are pretty and the atmosphere is relaxing and, there are lots of places for home brought picnics. This place has a great farmers market on the odd Saturdays... Interesting place with lovely views of the phillip island

“A Perfect Days Outing”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

Churchill island is a real delight. We spent a few relaxing hours wandering the restored Farm House and surrounding farm buildings followed by afternoon tea on the cafes veranda. The views over Western Port Bay were just breathtaking. Being only a 90 minute drive from Melbourne its a perfect days outing, no doubt would impress interstate or overseas visitors wanting to experience the Aussie lifestyle of a bygone era.

“Charming”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

A pleasant spot to spend a couple of hours. You could easily kill half a day here if you're really interested in the history, read through all of the information, spend a lot of time looking through the old buildings and watch all of the farm activities. If you're less fascinated by all that then anywhere from half an hour to two hours would be suitable.

It's really nice just strolling around and seeing the grounds and animals, particularly if you're not too familiar with farms. I probably wouldn't go again but I'm glad we went once.
