“The Phad Thai was a bit bland”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

I've been to many Thai restaurants and I wouldn't rank this in the top half. I ordered the spicier version of the Phad Thai and asked for it to be extra spicy. It was not spicy at all. It tasted bland and almost like it was reheated. I wouldn't go back here.

“Over-rated? or maybe a bad day?”
Reviewed 5 May 2013

If it weren't for the clean facility and very pleasant staff, this review would be in the "poor" category because the food was mediocre. Based on the Trip Advisor reviews, I was looking forward to a wonderful Thai meal. On the plus side, the Thai iced coffee was tasty. But the summer rolls had obviously been sitting for a while and any shrimp in them was negligible. The seafood coconut soup wasn't bad, but $4.25 for a small bowl seemed excessive. The worst, though, was the item listed on the menu as "wild boar basil," which featured relatively flavor-free pork (perhaps boiled rather than stir-fried as the menu indicated), with undercooked green beans, a few slices of red and green pepper, and perhaps eggplant, with a mild (not spicy as advertised) sauce. It would have been a disappointing choice at an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet. I wouldn't eat at Wild Papaya again.

“Hidden Gem in Kent strip mall”
Reviewed 9 February 2013 via mobile

If we hadn't seen the reviews and been looking for it, we never would have found this place. And that would have been a real shame, since the food is on par with the best big-city Thai restaurants, at a fraction of the price. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was pleasant, once we got past the strip mall exterior. But the food is the real reason for going - nothing short of amazing, with just the right balance of heat & flavor. A true find - we will be back!

“Best Oriental Cuisine in Town!”
Reviewed 13 December 2012

The staff is friendly & knowledgeable. They have wonderful bubble tea & their food is always perfect & presented beautifully.

Great Vegetarian selection!

I go there often & there is never enough clientele! Perhaps because they're new & in a small plaza without a lot of foot traffic. I would hate to see this place disappear!

It is affordable, modern & comfortable. Definitely a go to, especially on weekends when everything else is over run with other customers & food/service suffers from such volume. You'll never wait for a table or service.

“A perfect fill for hungry bikers”
Reviewed 7 August 2012 via mobile

My husband and I stopped here after bicycling around Kent's campus a sunny summer evening, and even though it was fairly empty, we were treated to excellent service and even better food! Pad Thai for me, red curry with chicken for him. Took some home, will be back!
