This was our first time visiting Ohio and we wanted to stay in a cabin for sure. We picked Ash Ridge based on reviews and we were not disappointed. When we walked in it was so warm and welcoming. It smelled wonderful with candles going and homemade cinnamon rolls in the fridge. The cabin was so secluded and quiet (we could not see anyone or any cabin at all). There was a beautiful swing on the back balcony next to the hot tub to sit and relax. Everything was clean and comfortable. There was a decent sized grocery store in Laurelville that we used to stock up and we were able to grill the nights that we were there. The kitchen was small but worked great and was perfect for making meals for the two of us. We stayed in the Maple Leaf cabin.
We played the dollar game as well. Past guests have hidden dollars throughout the cabin and when you find one you sign it and hide it again. You leave clues for where your dollars are hidden in a journal on the coffee table. I love that kind of thing so we had lots of fun with it!
I have stayed in cabins in other places before and this one was the best. The little details make it a special place to stay.
And to top it all off the weather was perfect!
