The Turtle Creek Valley Flyer ride lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. The conductors were friendly and a snack bar was available on the train. The description mentioned conductors describing railroad history and operations. We did not hear any commentary on our tour - I’m not sure if something wasn’t working or if there wasn’t narration on our ride. Seemed like it would be great for kids!

My wife, I and some friends took the train ride from Washington Courthouse Ohio to Urbana Ohio. This was their second run on the route and was a lot of fun. The train consists of cars from various old venues, a couple of old engines, with one being the oldest still in service, a couple air conditioned cars and a few with just windows. Don't expect a lot of history on this ride as it is just a train ride on an old time train. They have a snack car which is well stocked and reasonable a couple of bathrooms and cars that you can stand by the opening and take pictures of whatever you can see. You get to Urbana and have about 2 hours to eat and shop before returning to Washington Courthouse. If you cannot do stairs, then it will be hard to board the train. The people who volunteer and work this attraction are very nice and accommodating to all who participate. Nice lazy day. Leaves at 9am and returned at about 6:30PM Nice for kids and old people alike who want to experience a train ride as it was in the 30's and 40's

We took our 7 grandchildren (ages 3-19) on the train tour on National Train Day, everyone loved it! The gift shop is nice, the staff was very friendly, and the train personel dressed in costume which mesmerized the children. I think the historical aspect of this tour is significant in the time that we live in, especially for children to appreciate times past. 1940s music lightly played which added to the experience. The only downfall would be that it was hard to hear the comments made by the conductor over the speaker due to train and people noise. Everyone around us seemed to enjoy the ride!
I don't understand people that give negative reviews as a train track would typically go through an industrial area in places due to the original purpose of the track. They also tell you in advance to dress according to the weather.
Our entire group of 9 had a wonderful experience and would do it again!

My husband and I took our five-year-old nephew on the Easter Express. The train ride itself was fine, although much of the trip went past industrial and commercial sites. Our conductor, Dick, was kind and helpful.

The egg hunt is in a small area, and all age groups (along with adults) go together. There aren't many eggs, although staff toss out additional eggs while the kids are walking around. Our nephew got about six plastic eggs with tiny prizes or candies inside. We stood in line for a few minutes to get to the Easter Bunny and took our own photos.

We had a hard time finding available tickets for the three of us, so this seems to be a popular local tradition. We spent about $75. We won't be doing it again. But if you do go, the town of Lebanon is lovely. It's worth spending time there or stopping for a meal before or after the train ride.

What a huge disappointment! Don’t waste your money. There is nothing to see and they literally spoke two sentences about the train, no history, no sites or landmarks to see. The cars were freezing cold and the speakers are blasting 90’s rock music, we could barely keep a conversation. Nothing says “experience the 1930’s train ride” like listening to AC/DC and Aerosmith with the volume cranked. Whoever planned this experience needs to be fired. What a joke!
