We were passing through the area recently and stopped for lunch. The first restaurant we went into smelled like old cooking oil, so we left and walked across the parking lot to Gold Star Chili. Our first impression was that it was clean and smelled good. We had never eaten at one before, so it took a few minutes to look over the menu. When we told our server that it was our first time, she explained the menu and described some of the items that we weren't familiar with. We both ordered a Chili Salad. The food was delicious, the servings were generous and our server, Maryana was excellent. We were glad we found the place and would go there again if we were in the area.
