“Peaceful & Relaxing”

We stayed at the Turkey Hollow, the smallest of all the cabins on the property, and it was perfect for my wife and I and our fearless Bailey (Miniature German Schnauzer). We arrived late on Wed (9-25) and the cabin was well lit and soft music playing....as we unloaded, Sue stopped by to make sure we arrived OK, and made sure we had everything. We really appreciated that. Overall the cabin was clean, bed was a pillow top and VERY comfy....all the appliances worked, hot tub was simple but well appreciated after an 8-mile hike each day. Close to Old Man's cave and Logan area. Overall it was one of the better cabins we stayed at that was pet friendly. Yes Turkey Hollow is the first cabin on the lane, but we never had much traffic at all. Overall the area was peaceful and quiet. This would be a great cabin in the middle of summer due to all the trees for natural shade. Cabin was cool and comfy. Thanks Sue.

This place is pretty much as good as it gets for a Dog and not to mention there human owners. We had stayed here last year for my birthday in the Butterfly Trail cabin which was nice, however this year we decided to stay @ the Crows nest and I like it a bit better, all the cabins are very clean and well maintained, they even have the best little touches for Fido, like home made treats, a toy and even water and food dishes, so you don't have to haul your's along. Are cabin had a nice kitchen with everything you could need, a living room with satellite TV, the only thing I can say is it may be time for some new living room furniture as it has seen some better days, the bedrooms both had queen beds with very nice cozy sheets and each had its own bathroom with towels & towels for the hot tub, the only thing that was a bit disappointing is the water quality it had such a strong iron scent... i wouldn't drink or cook with it and It was so hard on my hair in the shower...maybe a water softner would do the trick? The owners are very welcoming also, she even stopped by to give me my birthday glass. If your coming to Hocking Hills and coming with Fido then look no further for your lodging needs this has everything you can need.

We originally had a reservation with a DIFFERENT cabin rental company, only to get to our cabin and find decon within reach of our dogs and a mound of mouse feces under the refridgerator. We thought our vacation was ruined. After much threatening and arguing we got a refund from the cabin rental place and then called SPRINGWOOD CABINS. My husband spoke to Lana and Sue (the owners) several times on the telephone. They gave us directions to the cabin and Lana met us at the Rose, an octagon shaped cabin on the property. Lana opened the door and I felt like I was walking into a fairy tale. The cabin was beautiful with the old church windows, the view, and the cleanliness. We immediately felt a peace come over us and are ever so grateful to Lana and Sue. They even were welcoming to our two dogs and had homemade treats for them. We stayed at the Rose for five nights and then moved over to the Crow, a two bedroom cabin, as our daughters were joining us for a couple of nights. The Crow was also a nice cabin. We are very pleased to have found Springwood Cabins and are happy to know there is such a pet friendly vacation spot only eight hours away. We would highly recommend Springwood Cabins to everyone. We can't wait to return!

The only thing that makes me give it a "very good" instead of an "excellent" is that the water quality is very bad. You must bring bottled water for cooking, as well as drinking. The tap water had a very strong sulfur and iron smell. I'm not sure there's much that can be done to improve that, but if they would provide a water cooler for drinking and cooking, that would be a big help. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay. Very near the park and hiking. We stayed in The Rose, which was clean and had a beautiful open floor plan. We loved being able to eat at the dining table placed right by the windows that go right down to the floor and overlook the meadow. The deer came out at dusk, much to our dog's delight. The kitchen was pretty well-equipped. You can do the basic cooking with no problem. The dog also appreciated the variety of well-maintained trails around the cabins. She got to take a different walk every day, and she never tired of lying in front of those down-to-the-floor windows.

This is the second time I have visited Hocking Hills and the second time I stayed at Springwood Cabins. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. All the amenities are there. No need to bring anything except clean clothes and food!

Very dog friendly...even if you forget to bring your dog's dishes, there are food and water bowls in each cabin. There's a pond on the property. So beware if your dog is a swimmer, but don't fret too much the water is clean. It's a nice pond.

The cabins are spotlessly clean and grounds are beautiful. Secluded yet close to town as well as all the attractions of Hocking Hills. A little piece of heaven tucked away on the hilltop.

Room Tip: I traveled with a group of friends. We had access to all the cabins. Each was beautifully decorate...

I have stayed at these cabins over and over for the past 3 years-they are truly the best. The staff pamper both you and your pets and are wonderful to work with! Cabins are beautiful with gorgeous designs, private hot tubs, A/C, and all the comforts of home. The grounds are just beautiful and private yet close to nearby attractions. You can't ask for anything better! What a gem!

We stayed in Deer Crossing at Springwood Cabins the weekend of June 15th and were pleasantly surprised. We wanted a relaxing location to spend our Anniversary weekend and wanted somewhere we could take our two dogs. We found the cabin to be immaculate and very welcoming. The owners have since made upgrades to the cabin from what is seen on their website. The front door is no longer a sliding glass door but a very welcoming wooden front door. The bathrooms have also been upgraded with boulder vessel sinks and nice fixtures. Although it is a pet friendly cabin, this cabin was very clean and we did not notice any odors. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the cabin and the hot tub and our dogs enjoyed walking in the woods and swimming in the pond. We appreciated the cabin having a back deck as we could put the dogs out there to dry off without them ever having to enter the cabin. We were not bothered by anyone during our stay and found our weekend to be very relaxing. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer. This was our first time in Hocking Hills and we are already planning our next stay at Springwood Cabins. We would most likely reserve Deer Crossing again and have recommended this property to all of our friends.
