This is a beautiful, clean, spacious camp ground that also has an awesome dog play area. The bathrooms are clean and it is located in a great area. The pool area was clean and heated and they had plenty of activities planned for children.

We've stayed at different campgrounds for years and this one rates as one of the best. From the helpful staff, clean bathrooms, sparkling and heated pool, clean and large campsites, shade from the trees, activities for the kids, gem mining and beautiful landscape. They explained the 2pm check-in time for campers is critical because of the narrow road leading up to this campground. They can't have others checking out at noon leaving at the time some are arriving because the road is narrow leading up to the campground on this hill. The gem mining was worth it and the mother lode bucket was well-stocked with wonderful treasures for the kids to uncover/discover. One day we got rained on and our group of 22 was able to spend a few hours in the game room playing games they provide and watching TV, along with a good euchre tournament. Hocking Hills attractions and hiking is close by so this campground was a convenient location. The little details like soft music piped in to the bathrooms, music at the pool, fun activities for the kids, beautiful pots of flowers everywhere...all very much appreciated and made it a fun atmosphere. We stayed on site #18 with a 34' travel trailier. Site was large and almost completely shaded. Just a few tree roots on that site. Our friends stayed at site #21 which was convenient. And other friends booked the 2 person cabin just past site #21. The sfaff helped us reserve this arrangement so we could all camp together. A wonderful trip had by all!

Room Tip: Call the staff ahead of time and explain what you are looking for. Some of these sites are very tilt...

My girlfriend and I have been to this KOA twice. It was the first KOA that both of us have ever been too, and I wasn't really sure what to expect at first, thinking that it was just another commercialized campground. Well was I wrong! The first time we went we got a kamper kabin, and that thing was nice! Since it was only her and I, we set our stuff on the bunk beds and had plenty of room. We got great use of the fire pit cooking on it every night! Only downfall was the bed was plastic covered and not real comfortable. The bathrooms really are the cleanest bathrooms in Hocking. The second time we went we got a deluxe cabin just for the extra cooking space and a private bathroom/shower. The bed in the deluxe cabin was a futon pullout and was not the most comfortable, but It was very do-able. The pool in the campground was clean, and the temperature was perfect! The hill in front of the community room is perfect to lay on and stargaze on clear nights, you can make out about every constellation since there isn't another light in the sky! The KOA was perfect proximity to all of the area attractions in Hocking Hills and Lake Logan, and if you needed to make a run to the store for last minute items it was great too. I would recommend this campground to anybody, and I will definitely go to a KOA again.

Room Tip: Great for camping if you have a tent, RV or even rent a cabin!

Very nice, clean, and friendly staff. The road going in was a little hard but overall stay was great. The boys loved panning for treasures. The pool was clean. I would recommend. It's close to all we wanted to see.

Everyone was super nice. The kamping kabin was as expected. My advice to anyone who is not a child or light weight, would be to take air mattresses to put on the beds as they have 3-4 inch mattresses on a bed with slats. If you've ever slept on a bad sleeper sofa or futon with uncomfortable bars, that's what the bed reminded me of. I wish I'd know about them before we went as we had air mattresses at home. Now we have another air mattress cause there is no way we could have slept there another night without it.

We are a tent-camping family from Ohio who have been going to Pennsylvania (i.e., Blue Knob, Ohiopyle, Cooks Forest, among others). Camping at this KOA and Hocking Hills was our first ever. We feel like this KOA is spoiling us - clean bathroom, friendly and ACCOMODATING staff, clean electric camp site. I expected the worse after reading the previous reviews, but we never experienced any of those. We love the cereal Sunday or whatever they called it, that help supports other kids. If you have been to Ohiopyle, you'll understand what my teenaged daughter mean when she said about this KOA was, "They have a hair dryer in the restroom!"

This was a real nice campgrounds. It was very clean, the staff was Great !The sites were much bigger than other KOA's that we have stayed at.The bathroom's/showers were incredibly clean. My only complaint was the irresponsible dog owners ! Allot of barking. But I would stat here again and would recommend it to anyone going to Hocking Hills.
