“Neat cave in the cliffs”

You have to go down a lot of steps to get to the cave; if you're not sure-footed, take a good set of hiking poles with you. The cave is right inside one of the cliffs, pretty neat. Do yourself a favor and continue the hike through the gorge and up the other side.

Very interesting geo-formation that makes up a fairly deep canyon. Must be nimble on steps and elevation changes in a very large cave. Otherwise, you get a birds eye view from the cave windows. I put this on par with Conkle's Hollow and only behind Ash Cave in comparing area sites.

This exceeded our expectations! Very neat to see firsthand and highly recommend the drive out. We managed to get some beautiful pictures and are hoping to come back next year.

Rock House is definitely not as spectacular as many of the hikes in the Hocking Hills area, but it's worth the stop. Parts of the trail can be steep, but even novice hikers will find it fairly simple. It's a beautiful trek above and through the canyon. But the Rock House itself is the main feature. It's basically a huge room in the wall of the canyon with small openings to enter. It can get crowded at times, but at the less crowded times of year, it can be an amazing place. It is somewhat away from the other parks of Hocking Hills, but it's a beautiful drive to get there.

This was quite a hike, not a long one but a steeper one. Lots of steps to get in. We saw the outside of the Rock House, but didn't find the opening of the wall. We were a little disappointed. We had a good hike though. We left the dog at the cabin for this one.
