We have stayed in several cabins in the area, and the Double Pine Lodge was quite nice for our party of 8. The cabin is showing a little bit of wear, and could use some touch up in paint, etc. but it is clean and well equipped. The only "complaint" would be our neighbors in the surrounding cabins, which were a bit loud in the evening - yelling and playing music a bit loud, but that is not the fault of the cabins owners at all. Just rude people that don't know the meaning of "nature tranquility". If you stay here, keep the directions they send you handy because Ellison Road does not come up on your GPS! We had no trouble because I had the written directions also!
Just spent this past weekend at double pine with a group of friends for my husbands 34th birthday. The cabin was amazing, the scenery was beautiful. Disappointed that the air wasn't working, but we all managed to survive. We spent most of our time on the deck.
The cabin was great. We celebrated my daughter's 16th Birthday here with some of her friends and they had a really good time. There was plenty of room for everyone and everything we needed was there from towels to cooking utensils. I recommend getting here before dark as it is not easy to find in the dark but other than that we loved it, had a wonderful time & hope to return in the future. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us.
My family and I stayed at Double Pine Lodge for five days. It takes not quite a whole day , for this cabin to start to feel like home. I'm going to tell you everything you need to know about DPL! Safe and reliable online checkout, pay around half the cost upfront. Close to your stay, you'll pay the remainder, followed by a confirmation email, (at that time you'll receive the address, and code for the key lock box). My husband arrived at the cabin first, and when I got there he was vacuuming the large rug...no worries, that was one of the only issues at the cabin. The beds smelled freshly laundered, which always eases a travellers mind! The cabin was overall clean, and roomy. We grilled some, and cooked some during our stay. I was pleasantly surprised to find nearly all of the cooking utensils that we needed.*Note..bring an extra can opener just in case, aluminium foil, an extra bottle of dish soap, and a dish scrubber! The hot tub was really relaxing and we were even offered a treatment for it, on one of the days there. **No washer/dryer!! Bring enough clean clothes for the stay. TOWELS!!! It will seem, at first that there is a towel shortage, never fear, open the cabinets under the bathroom sinks:) We had a blast, going from Old Man's Cave one day, to ASH cave the next! This cabin truly is in the heart of all Logan has to offer. *Expect no cellphone service, or data connection during your stay, (and be pleasantly surprised when it occasionally works)! The downstairs beds arent as creaky, and those bedrooms block out the most noise for light sleepers. You'll have neighbors, but at times they'll seem miles away. The firewood is literally outside your front door, just pop $6 in the box if you take a bundle. Be sure you use the bungee cables on the trash cans, the racoons don't play around, lol. Bring walkie talkies!!! Seriously the most valuable objects during your stay...not kidding. I spoke with the owner during my booking process, and spoke briefly with (I assume) a housekeeper/caretaker while I was there, and can honestly say, very nice people!! Go off the beaten path, look in the antique stores, or grab lunch at Sandy Sue's Diner-my kid's loved that place! I'm happy to say, we'd love to stay at Double Pine Lodge again someday:)

This was a great place to spend a weekend with the entire family. It was very close to great hiking and very coz you. The hot tub needed a bit of a cleaning, but that would be the only complaint.
