Yesterday had family event - lunch celebration at Brazenhead. Had not been there in a while. Reserved private room and all had GREAT food and a good time. Smithwick's and Guiness, Bangors & Mash - all you can eat fish & chips - etc. All liked their food. The menu has really expanded since I was last there (maybe a year - or six months ago).

My husband and I have loved going to this restaurant for years, ordering from a selection of our favorites off their menu. THEN they completely changed the menu removing many incredibly delicious items (from appetizers to entrees even desserts). What a huge disappointment. Since the change, we have only been there 2 times and both times walked away dissatisfied. The new menu items are not nearly as good.

On our steam engine ride we bought our tickets in Mason and right next to the ticket station is this wonderful Irish Pub witj great food and fantastic service. While waiting for the train we went in and ordered a Rueben sandwich.
It was out of this world. Waitress made sure we had it in time before boarding the train and was very helpful. She even bagged what was left so we could take it on the train with us. The decor is all wood and there's a bar with seats and flat screen TV's. Try it. It's great.

I have been to the Brazenhead several times. It has a nice outdoor patio overlooking a man made lake, and they have a nice selection of beers on tap with a number of specials throughout the week.
I have also eaten at the Brazenhead a couple times, and the food is not very good at all. It is worse than what many would call "pub food", and you can easily get better pub food down the street at BW3's for cheaper.
Atmosphere for drinking is good, but don't stick around for any meals here.

I had shepherd Pie and it could not have been better. Our waitress Gina had a wonderful personal touch and delivered our meal while it was just correct as far as temperature. Also delicious.
She did not rush us out of the place. She appeared when needed. This Irish restaurant is furnished with furniture from Ireland and is beautiful.
