“Great Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013

My daughter and I stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites during a recent visit to Kings Island Amusement Park. The room was nice and clean, although the bathroom was very small. The continental breakfast was excellent, with homemade waffles being made by the staff. The manager, Harry Patel was always very friendly and helpful. When we had checked out, I realized later, I had left my hat in the room. Mr. Patel located it, and mailed it to me without any hesitation. He even checked by email to see if I had received it! This is a great hotel, with wonderful staff and very reasonable prices. We highly recommend it!

We booked this hotel last minute while at Kings Island. We originally had reservations at Kings Island Resort and Conference Center but that place was nasty! When we arrived at 10pm after being at the park all day, Harry, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful. The next morning he even refilled the waffle batter after breakfast had closed for my husband to make me a waffle. He went above and beyond for us. We will definetly stay here again!!

It was our first time staying At this hotel and it was a very friendly stay. The gm was more than accommodating and he is very polite and service was wonderful. Breakfast was good. And the area was nice and quiet and yes we will be staying there again.

The location was great and close to Kings Island, the continental breakfast was great, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Kings Island.

The staff was the nicest and most helpful hotel staff we have ever seen. Nothing worse then going to check in and having rude staff but here they were amazing! They let the kids swim untill mid night. They kept breakfast open an hour longer just so the kids could eat every morning. Absolutely amazing. My kids said this is their favorite hotel and they liked it better then the great wolf lodge because they could swim as long as they wanted. You can tell the hotel is in the process of being updated. The beds are very comfortable and nice plush bedding. The Internet worked great we never had a problem with it as we do at most hotels. We stay in hotels very often and this one might be older but don't judge it by the outside. Best of all the staff is absolutely amazing in every way. If your going to kings island it's less then 5 minutes from the park and its out of all the commotion. Nice and quit place but very kid friendly!!!
To the staff... Thank you all for being great and keep up the awesome work!!! The breakfast was perfect and had something to please everyone, great variety!!

When we arrived I asked what floor we would be on and if they had a first floor room. The desk clerk said all the first floor rooms were taken, our rooms were on the second floor and there are no elevators. Then he said “you did not make a request for a first floor room”. Of course they did not mention the lack of an elevator when I made the reservation.

This is an old, dimly lit hotel badly in need of renovation. It did not appear to be dirty but who could tell in the dark? We think we can feel ( can’t see ) dust on the bedposts. The room was so dark we almost missed the fruit loops they left us under the bed. Yuck! The TV is from the eighties, no make that the seventies. Looking out the window we have a nice view of a car wash. There is a strange smell, could it be the moldy smell of old soap from the car wash? No wait, that’s the smell of urine.

Our room is towards the end of the hall, one entrance on the end. While you stroll down the hall you can look at the wildlife, like spiders and moths. Right outside the door there is an area where people go to smoke, there are lots and lots of cigarette butts.

If all they will give you is second floor you should know that there is also no ice service on the second floor. The manager seems to think this is all right. No elevator, no ice, don’t even think about a cooler.

You get the impression that everything is done to be cheap. No air conditioning in the halls, we were there in the summer and it was 90+ degrees in the halls easily. The lights in the bathroom and entry way are on timers so you don’t use too much of their electricity. Even the real cheap hotels let you leave the lights on while you are there.

The breakfast was egg patties and sausage with bagels, cereals and a waffle maker. That is not too bad if they keep up with keeping it supplied. The breakfast area is small, there are signs that say not to take food to your room. So don’t plan on breakfast in your room. They also have signs saying not to fill your “ice chests” with ice.

Room Tip: Not a good choice.

This place was a huge disappointment! The Carpets were filthy, there were marks all over the walls, the coffee pot in our room hadn't been cleaned, the mini fridge had mold in it, two of the lamps did not work, the woodwork was chipped, broken tiles in the bathroom, one of the washcloths was a stained mess, and the half-wall or divider in our room was broken. Even the doors to the rooms had major wear marks where they took off the old number plates, but did nothing to fix them. the walls in the hallways were all marked up and the breakfast was a joke, and we ended up going to McDonalds for breakfast both days. We just wanted to get out of there because it just felt like a dirty mess!! Unfortunately we paid $120 a night, when we could have stayed at a much nicer place!!!
