We would stay here again. We had a "two queens" room.
Bathroom: makes good use of a snug space and does not feel crowded. Very clean shower with a bowed curtain rod, and good water pressure. Good, bright lighting. There is a hair dryer mounted on the wall with a built-in nightlight. You can unplug it if you want complete darkness, or if you want to use the outlet for other things.
Bathroom amenities include Bath & Body Works Coconut Lime Verbena shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. There was a citrus mint soap bar for the shower and a small bar of hand soap. The towels are nice (neither thin nor super thick).
Beds: clean and comfortable and included extra pillows.
There was a single nightstand between the 2 beds with a socket so it's easy to charge a device on that side of the beds. There is no socket within easy reach on the opposite sides of the beds. The nightstand also included a small safe.
Furniture: a padded bench, good for using as a suitcase stand. There was also an armchair with ottoman that we used as a luggage stand for our other suitcase. There was a small dresser (but we never "unpack" from a suitcase into hotel room drawers). We just "live out of" suitcases so we always appreciate luggage racks or benches or large countertops. There's also an extra mirror outside the bathroom (helpful if multiple people are getting ready.)
Desk: roomy with an easy-to-reach power strip attached to the side (nice to not need to crawl under the desk or pull furniture from the wall). I had no trouble connecting to wifi. There was an office chair, comfortable enough for a full work day.
Closet: "open" area, which is fine with me--there is less of a chance to leave something behind because there are no closet doors. There was an iron and ironing board, several nice hangers, and a sturdy storage shelf.
Food/drinks: empty mini fridge, a coffee machine with supplies (we did not use it), and an ice bucket.
The attached Italian restaurant had a breakfast buffet (which was included in our package.) It included several cold cereals, fruit, yogurt, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. I think that other breakfast items were available from a menu (but I'm not sure; I never had anything but the breakfast buffet). It was consistent in quality each day we were there.
We visited the bar on 2 evenings. There was a good selection of craft beers and wines, plus a full bar. It was a nice place to enjoy a nightcap.
It's not far from many other food and beverage options in the area.
Air/lighting: The window has sheers and blackout curtains, all easy to slide. There's not much of a view, but the property is well maintained. There was an entry light, a light on the nightstand, a floor lamp, and a light on the desk. We needed to block the bright LED light on the TV at night. The air system worked well and was not noisy.
Pool/fitness: The pool was in another building that you reach through a fully enclosed walkway. I didn't take the walk to check it out myself. I also cannot comment on the fitness center.
The lobby is cozy. It's nicely decorated with a warm, homey "living room" style. There is a small business center with a couple of computers and a printer.
Check-in and check-out were polite and efficient. We didn't have much other interaction with the staff because we didn't have any problems or special requests.

Hotel was clean and comfortable - no complaints there, but do not be fooled like I was by a higher rate to include breakfast. Not worth the money! I traveled with children and they do not allow the children to have the extremely limited buffet with the "free breakfast". While adults dine at the buffet, kids have to order from an even more limited menu of a la carte items that are also on buffet but then they tell you to get the kids food from the buffet. If your child has interest in a muffin or fruit from the buffet you can expect awkward glances from the restaurant staff. The breakfast buffet is extremely limited to being with. I suggest you just offer the buffet to kids and adults alike when paying a higher rate for "free breakfast".

Thank you for making the Holiday Inn Cleveland-Mayfield a part of your stay in the Cleveland area! We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us, and dismayed to hear that you did not have a similar experience in our restaurant. Please allow us to clarify that there is a "Kids eat free" menu that is available to our guests, and as such is not a part of the buffet. While we feel that the buffet has a plethora of options to choose from, we appreciate your feedback on the matter of having the buffet available when purchased as a package, and understand the confusion. Once again, thank you for being our guests. We hope to welcome you back again in the future!

The Inn is over 30 years old and remains a reliable choice. The building is consistently updated and well maintained. The staff is friendly and efficient. The in house restaurant exceeds what you find at most Holiday Inns, It is an excellent Italian venue that is frequented by locals. The neighborhood is in a suburban setting and offers many conveniences in the area as well as being adjacent to the freeway. Whether an overnight or extended stay the Inn is a very good choice. Over the years I have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. Be sure to try the restaurant.

Room tip: North facing rooms (even numbered) face a wooded area. South facing look out to the parking lot.

The staff are very nice and personable.
The rooms are comfortable.
The location is perfect if visiting the Gates Mills, Pepper Pike etc. area.
There is free parking, and easy connections to the major freeways.
There is an independent restaurant associated with the hotel that is very nice as well.

Room tip: Rooms with lower #s (e.g., 301, 303 etc.) are closer to the elevators if that is an issue for you.

Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Rooms have a refrigerator which didn't work very well. It was chilled, but barely. It doesn't have a free breakfast, but it supposedly has a very good restaurant, but we did not have time to sample it.
