“Holmes County Gem!!!!!”
Reviewed 11 March 2013

My husband and I stayed one night at the Barn Inn and it was one of the greatest experiences. Paul and Loretta were amazing hosts and made us feel as if we were staying with family. The attention to detail was wonderful. Loretta gave us so much information on the "must see" places in the area and we stopped at several on her list. In the past when we visited Berlin, we kept our visit to town and I had no idea how much we missed. We never stepped foot in town on this visit and we did not miss it one bit. We visited real Amish homes to shop and we are so happy we did, we found the most amazing finds and great deals and the interaction with the families was great. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Every facet of the Inn is beautiful, indoors and out. You will not be sorry if you choose to stay at The Barn Inn. We cannot wait to go back and visit Loretta and Paul...they are such a joy!

Thank you for your recent stay and for taking time to post a review! It was a pleasure serving you. It is most helpful for us to know that you appreciated our directing you to some little know and out-of-the-way places. We're glad you enjoyed the buggies, the Amish homes, businesses, The Barn Inn, and all of the unique things, in this, our little corner of the world. We will count it a privilege if, in the future, we can serve you again.

Loretta is a pretty amazing host. She passed out a list of her favorite places to go including Amish homes. Oh my what a great time we had backroading Amish country. This is a beautiful property! I suggest a stay; we will be back.

Once again we have been back to the Barn Inn. We feel so at home there and now have stayed in every room at the Inn! Love them all especially the ones with the Hot Tubs....yummmmmm.
Loretta and Paul are the 'Hosts with the Most'...period. You are missing out if you fail to stay there.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights while on a business trip. This inn is outstanding! The rooms are clean and just perfect. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious with a lovely presentation! Loretta suggestions of places to see and things to do were greatly appreciated and her hospitality made our stay very enjoyable. Looking forward to our next stay!

Unique experience. I believe the owners use to be Amish so they explain some features of Amish after breakfast. They do offer prayer before meal. If you want to stay somewhere different this is the place.

My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary on February 15th. Neither of us had ever stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before and we wanted to do something completely different. What a beautiful place to just getaway from it all! We stayed in the "Vintage Rose" room and it was just lovely. I would recommend this room to anyone. The owners were so welcoming and answered all of our questions. They had cookies and pastries along with anything you would like to drink in the dining area when you arrive. We enjoyed our "Valentine" cookie and coffee while we looked out at the beautiful countryside. Breakfast was served in the morning and everything tasted wonderful. They had the best cinnamon rolls my husband and I have ever eaten! Paul, one of the owners knew what you wanted before you even had to ask for it at breakfast. I would recommend The Barn Inn to anyone that wants to "getaway from it all" in Holmes Country, Ohio. Carolee and Richard Brunken, Feburary 15, 2013

This was our first trip ever to Amish country in Ohio and this B&B was my first choice and we were so excited when we arrived. Yes it is a barn, however it reminded me of Wilderness Lodge at Disney in Florida, only on a smaller scale. Tall ceiling, wood beams, clean rooms, balcony and an outdoor balcony which on warmer days would be wonderful to sit and relax. Located off the beaten path, yet an easy drive to get to it was just wonderful to be in such a lovely location with so much quite!
Typical Amish breakfast which is nothing fancy, yet very good served buffet style with the other guests which makes for excellent conversation. Loretta the owner will give suggestions, printed for each guest on where to start your Amish journey and since being in this area for the first time was SO HELPFUL!!!! I was so happy we chose this B&B, for this reason alone! Would we go back to the Barn Inn B&B? Absolutely! Maybe a weekday, and warmer time of the year, however yes we definitely will be going back! Little amenities like, popcorn, hot chocolate, hot teas, coffee are available throughout the day and small convenient refrigerators located in case you buy cheese or something else needed refrigeration before you leave. Just a great place.

Room Tip: Can't imagine any room being disappointing, however being in a room without a jacuzzi and the ro...
