We stayed here two years ago and liked it so much we decided to go again. Very quiet area as it is located on a county road. We stayed in the Blue Harvest Moon room both times. Very clean and comfortable accommodations. It is a very nice room with a good queen size bed. The owners, Paul and Loretta, and staff are very nice. Our breakfast consisted of a bacon quiche, homemade Amish sausage, fresh fruit cup, juice, steel cut oats flavored with apple butter, and coffee. The owners are former Amish and thus very knowledgeable of the Amish history and lifestyle. Loretta gives a presentation at breakfast about the Amish and some of the better places to visit.

Room Tip: We have been here twice and stayed in the Blue Harvest Moon room. It is a very nice room on the sou...

A first-time visit to a B&B for an anniversary can be risky, but this is the place to be. Beautiful facility, and oh so quiet. Our hosts and the staff were very gracious and friendly, and the breakfast and treats were delicious. Very much appreciated the local history provided by Miss Loretta, and being pointed to some very interesting, off-the-beaten-path Amish shops. Plan to make this an annual visit.

My husband and I spent two nights here this week to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The Barn Inn is such a fabulous place to stay. The room was comfortable and inviting. The breakfasts were delicious, featuring Loretta's own recipes, locally made sausage and baked goods. The best part, though, was the information Loretta gives each morning about Amish culture and the best places to visit. Many of her recommendations are not on any other list. We visited several of the places she told us about. One place was a very conservative Amish home where the children greeted us and sold us handmade baskets (made by the children in the family). Another place was that of a cedar chest maker whose workmanship was unrivaled. The prices for his items were unbelievably reasonable. What a wonderful time we had! Thank you, Paul and Loretta, for making us feel like family. We will definitely return to this wonderful place of rest.

My husband and I stayed at The Barn B & B this past weekend to celebrate our 30th anniversary and we could not have made a better choice ! We were torn between staying at a B & B or a well know local hotel but decided to give The Barn a try and ended up with the best of both worlds. What we really liked about this place was that while it was a B & B it did not feel like we were staying in someones home, which we have discovered from past experience, can feel a bit uncomfortable. There are 11 rooms here so it is a bit larger than your usual B & B but still had that intimate and cozy feel to it but also plenty of privacy. It is well run and immaculate. Our room was clean and cozy and beautifully decorated. We had access to a porch right outside of our room where we could sit and enjoy the outdoors with a cup of coffee or tea. They had two stations conveniently set up where we could get beverages at all times as well as a large selection of movies that we could choose for no additional cost to watch in our room on the DVD/VCR player provided. Breakfast was buffet style and delicious in the lovely dining area and we also enjoyed the hospitality of our friendly hosts and the informational talk on the area and the Amish was very interesting and useful as we set out to enjoy our day in Amish country. Go ahead and BOOK IT...you can't go wrong here !

This is the second time we have stayed at the Barn Inn.We spent two nights this visit. The room was so very comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. Coffee, cookies and other treats were always available. The special thing about this B&B is the information Loretta provides about the Amish and all the worderful places to visit in the area. This is a place not to be missed!
