The Swiss Restaurant across from the cheese house if very nice and relaxing. My recent visit included the port shanks with sauerkraut - the pork shanks were delicious. My guest ordered the pork loin with cheddar and mushroom toppings, her pork was tough and difficult to cut. The cheese overwhelmed the meal. They do bring bread before the meal - there were 2 of us so they brought us 2 pretzel bread sticks. A few additional breadsticks would have been appreciated with the meal. The side servings are small, service is good, the view is nice and the seating is comfortable. I suggest a window view away from screaming kids. The unruly kids in the restaurant were the only unpleasant experience we had. It is difficult to enjoy a meal with screaming kids. The cheeses are nice, somewhat reasonably priced - butter cheese being our favorite. The candies, spreads are overpriced. The area is nice to have a picnic or eat in the restaurant with plenty of space to walk around.

We love the cheese here and the samples that allow us to taste different varieties. The cheeses are reasonably priced but the other items (crackers, dips, condiments etc.) seem to be pricey so you may want to bring your own drinks and other items if you are going to picnic with their cheeses (our tradition when we visit). There is a little cabin down from the shop that used to be an ice cream shop. It has a deck with clean picnic tables that makes a great picnic spot and we always stop and enjoy some cheese, crackers, and apple here before leaving.

I like a variety of cheeses. Place is small and does not have a lot in it. Very well decorated outside to attract you, but not very interesting inside.

This was the first place we visited on our weekend trip. We were slightly disappointed. The place is small and while we were there, it was extremely crowded (that I admit was our fault, we didn't go early in the day). We were not offered any assistance and the staff was only worried about stocking the half-full cases of cheese. We were not the only ones disappointed with the customer service. It is worth going, their cheese is delicious but don't have high expectations.
