We stayed at Garden Gate Get-A-Way in Millersburg, Ohio for the 5th time - yes, 5th! Our group stayed 3 nights and used 3 rooms.

Again the rooms were very clean. The mattresses are heaven and covered with high quality sheets and comforters. My room had a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, DVD, CD/Radio, water fountain, windows overlooking the property, clothes closet, parking just steps away from our suite door, tub/shower, hair dryer, coffee pot, vanity with plenty of storage for our personal items, A/C, ceiling fan, TV, two comfy recliner chairs..the list goes on.

The innkeepers, are super friendly. The breakfasts each morning were varied and delicious offerings. Something for everyone - egg dishes, fresh fruits, juices, muffins, breads - and more. The innkeeper also provides a daily late afternoon homemade snack in the common room! The common room is a luxury - the guests have use of a microwave, frig, checker/chess table, movies, magazines, hot water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, popcorn, ice, and utensils!

Evening campfires are cozy, a great way to unwind at the end of the day and provides the option to meet other guests. We enjoyed being in Holmes County and learning about the culture of the Amish/Mennonite.

This B&B is close to the attractions, but set in a county setting that is peaceful. The horses and buggies go by the B&B all throughout the day. Parking is good for all rooms - no stairs or hills. The innkeepers provide extra touches in the rooms like bottled water, chocolates, wonderfully soft towels, luxury soaps and shampoos. I really can't express how much my family enjoys Garden Gate Get-A-Way. We are thankful we took a chance and stayed at this B&B a few years ago = we uncovered a hidden gem in Millersburg, Ohio.

Garden Gate Get-A- Way is a very peaceful place! We visit this area Spring and Fall of each year. Over the years, we have stayed at different locations - both hotels and B&B's. This is the WINNER!! The innkeepers, Carol and Herb, treat you like family from the minute you arrive. The gardens they have created and tended bring beauty to the eye! There is such abounding peace for the soul. The sights and sounds of nature around you are to the soul what noodles are to mashed potatoes! We are blessed in a new and wonderful way each time we visit!

We have stayed here on numerous occasions and you won't find a nicer couple as your host and hostess. Carol and Herb Steffey are two of the most congenial people you will ever meet. The rooms and the cottages are immaculate. The nightly campfires are a time to unwind after a busy day and a chance to get to know other guests. If you go away from one of Carol's breakfast feast hungry there is something wrong for her baking and cooking is delicious. You won't make a mistake picking Garden Gate as your place to stay in Amish country.

Beautiful location and very nice rooms. They also have cottages/cabins available now. Inn keepers Herb and Carol Steffey always make you feel welcome and they are very helpful when it comes to planning your day in Amish country. By far our favorite place to stay! Make sure to take advantage of the evening campfire.

the b&b was clean, comfortable, quiet, and a great deal. when heading out into amish country, make certain that you have enough cash with you because not all businesses allow debit cards/credit cards.
