“Bicycle trip”

This is a very nice flat trail for about 13 miles from Mt Vernon Ohio to Danville Ohio. Also found a great place, Honey Run Waterfall in Danville.

“The best of rural central Ohio”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 October 2013

A very peaceful and scenic ride through the bucolic countryside of Knox county. Less traveled and less crowded than the Cuyahoga Valley's Towpath Trail; beautiful in a different way, with rural sights and a sense of quiet.

“How did we miss this trail tip now?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 September 2013

Lovely day pedaling! Easy to park and access the trail, flat, smooth and scenic the trail takes you through part of Kenyon College campus, easy access to Brown Family Environmental education center and on through the countryside of Knox county. Some woods, some meadow, (a quarry), some farmland, a few bridges, and remnants of train stations as this is a rails to trails pathway. There is a small playground farther along the trail with water and a semi permanent Porta-john.
Well maintained follows the Kokosing river for much of the way ,13 miles to Danville from Mount Vernon. We did 10 out and 10 back on a cool sunny day inAugust, just great.

Liked: the trail is very smooth and well maintained. It is really scenic as it runs adjacent to much of the Kokosing River.

“Beautiful walk in nature.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2013 via mobile

The trail is perfect to ride bikes, walk, or whatever else your heart may desire. Always clean and well kept. There are some geocaches along the way too. Beautiful place to be and around the Kenyon college area there is a train and a place to use the restroom and get water.
