I love the castle. My wife and I have been there a few times now and we just booked 2 more visits. You will go for the castle but you'll go back for the food, staff, games, new friends, the pub, and all the awesome events. I personally love the diverse beer selection. My wife loves the grounds. Don't forget to say "hey" to Steve. Ask him to turn you on to some games you may have never heard of.

I stayed at Ravenwood Castle in April of this year (2013). I was vacationing solo and wanted a few days of peace and quiet in a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere. I found that and so much more at Ravenwood. I stayed in Cinderella's Coach House...a very cozy and royal suite with a balcony overlooking the quaint Medieval Village. The grounds are literally carpeted with flowers and foliage....both in "beds" and natural. During my visit all of the trees were in bloom, giving the Castle and grounds and even more charming quality.
My room was simply marvelous...Beautiful hardwood floors, a very large jacuzzi w/shower, deliciously comfortable king-size bed, and so much more. The charming decor was amusing and delightful....a little hand-carved wooden mouse in the corner of one of the gorgeous stained-glass windows, Cinderella's glass slipper on the mantle, a gilded pumpkin carriage w/ white stallions on the antique bureau....and the Cinderella board game and books.
And speaking of books....Ravenwood Castle has the most outstanding library!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend, and took a romantic trip for two Ravenwood Castle. From the moment that we arrived and saw the beautiful grounds the stage was set for a prefect weekend. Everywhere you looked were wonderful touches to add to the experience without going too far. The staff was friendly and did everything to make all the guests feel welcome. The food was delicious and I enjoyed every meal. I would recommend this Inn as a getaway for anyone weather they are looking for a family vacation, a romantic weekend or an adventure with friends.

We bought a voucher back in the fall for a great price. Our stay included a night in the castle, dinner and a bottle of wine. Our time was running out so we a quick trip from MI to New Plymouth, Ohio. We arrived around 4 pm and were greeted by Jacob. We chose the dungeon room situated near the Pub.
We took our bottle of wine out to the patio and enjoyed the sunny evening. Dinner was served at 6:30 pm. Turkey with Pasta Alfredo and grilled carrots and purple onions, rolls and green salad. Yummy! We ordered 14 Hands wine with dinner. Our room was spacious with a king size bed and fireplace. The linens were luxurous. The bathroom was a step up entrance. This might be a problem if you are handicapt. The room darkened with wooden shutters and we woke up at 9 am. Breakfast is provided from 8:30 until 10:30 am. The only drawbacks would be if you must have a clock and WiFi. The castle grounds are spacious and well maintained. This would be a great place to hold a wedding. They have a great promotion; your stay is the precentage of your anniversary. Our's is 48 years. What a fun time and a great discount.

Room Tip: Call ahead and reserve the suite of your choice. They vary in size and personality.

My husband and I spent a Sunday and Monday night in Rapunzel's Suite at Ravenwood. This was a gift from our children. We hadn't done enough homework before we got there. If you want a complete disconnect from society this is the place for you. No cell reception, no Wi-Fi, no clocks in the rooms - or TV's of course. If you want to eat dinner you need to give them a 48 hour notice or select from the extremely limited menu of hot dog, hamburger and grilled cheese with soup. Our room and everywhere we went on property was very clean and well cared for. There is a library of books and cd's. The cabins have been outfitted with more amenities like a DVD player, coffee pot and fridge. Breakfast is very well done and delicious.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is a very unusual property. Arriving at the beginning of the week is most likely a different experience than on weekends. Blue laws are in place so no wine/beer sales on Sunday.

We should have done more research on the place before we got there so we were more prepared for the simplicity of the accommodations. It is a beautiful imaginative setting.

Room Tip: Rapunzel's suite is up 2 flights of stairs. Make sure you can do the climb. It does remove you...

My partner and I spent an amazing Memorial Day weekend at the Ravenwood Castle. The place was more than we expected. GREAT decor, fun staff, and amazing selection of games and movies. We spent the afternoons hiking in the Hocking Hills, which is only about 10 minutes away. We were able to have an amazing dinner in their great hall as well as spend some time in their library and just hanging in the sun and enjoying their super fun grounds. We played the large chess game as well as snuggled in their super comfy bed while watching movies at night. The hot tub in the Spinster's cabin was PERFECT after a long day of hiking. This was our first time here, but definitely will not be the last. This is the perfect combincation of an outdoor and fantasy freak's wonderland!!!! They do not spare any details!!!!! Steve and Jacob and their families just added to the charm and were around for anything we needed. Can't wait to go again!!!

Room Tip: The Spinster Cottage was perfect for a couple because it was private but just a few steps from the G...
